Publisher's summary

Brought together after tragedy, Edward Wyllie and Dora Williams find the true beauty of love in this poignant and thrilling historical romance set in 1800 Boston and New Hampshire. In an unlikely place for new beginnings, a cemetery, Edward and Dora meet for the first time. But in that forlorn place, the beauty of love blossoms. Edward is still struggling with guilt over the death of his family more than a year ago - a guilt so great he's unable to even look at his children's gravestones. As their friendship grows, Dora forces Edward to confront the truth - their deaths were not his fault. And Edward gives Dora, a young Boston widow, a chance to seize love and learn the meaning of passion.

Are you really safe staying home?

Edward is the brother who stayed behind for fear of loosing he family. He lost them anyway though and now has to deal with the heartache and guilt. Dora was married and lost her husband to sickness and now faces her life as a lone widow. One chance meeting in the graveyard to mourn her husband sets off events that will change her life forever.

But this story is not just about them. Edward's oldest brother and sister-in-law have returned to confront the one person who could bring all of their lives to ruin.

Dorothy's final book in her series is a WONDERFUL "bookend" to her American Wilderness series. It completes the family saga of the Wylie family's migration from New Hampshire to the wilds of Kentucky capturing the post-revolutionary. It was great to have most of the family involved as this book also sets the reader up for the second generation's adventures!
Tim Campbell continues his 5-star narration with the American Wilderness Series!

Every book gets better and better. Really love all

Dorothy Wiley amazes me with all the wonderful books in this series. They are books that are so hard to put down until you get to the end. Hope she has a new book in the works that she is working on and won't be to long until it is published.
