I really enjoyed this

This is the second book I've read by this author and I really enjoyed it even more than the first book. There were even moments when I couldn't help laughing out loud. I definitely recommend it!

Entertaining Light Romance

The 2nd book of the Wagers series was an entertaining, light romance, which could be enjoyed without reading the 1st book.

NFL football player Luke was a refreshing change - a rich, good-looking man who wasn't dominating. selfish or violent. No, Luke was thoughtful, funny, hard-working and looking for an equal life partner, rather than a brainless sex slave.

Likewise, Miranda was a smart, ambitious professional who enjoyed helping people as a concierge. Miranda wasn't looking for man to "save or rescue" her. She didn't expect Luke to fix her problems, even when her slimy boss was trying to sabotage her career.

The romance between Luke and Miranda was slow and realistic; the supporting characters added depth and humor to the plot. There were explicit sex scenes but nothing violent or degrading.

Hearing the story over again but from a different characters view point was fun and interesting... Parts of book 1 being replayed and finding out the other side of the story was a new twist..

I loved the characters and the story line. I was cheering the whole time for Luke and Miranda. And as cliche as it sounds money cannot buy you happiness or love. Good read highly recommended😊

The All Star Antes Up

Loved it! Even if you didn't read the first one you will not be lost but do yourself a favor and read the first book in this series! Luke Archer is a star quarterback and feeling pulled in all directions, holding his team together, keeping his brother on track, hiding his maybe injury, and figuring out what is going on with his game and then he meets Miranda Tate the building concierge and he is smitten. She really knows nothing about football but her nephew and brother are big fans and when Luke sends tickets for a game he pulls out all the stops for them. Will they be able to keep it professional or not? This one was listened to in audio and I loved it!!!

The author delivers again

I'm seriously in love with both the author and narrator. The stories flow well and the very acting pulls you into the scenes and the writing makes the characters your friends. I highly recommend these books and others written by Nancy.

Her books keep getting better and better. Can't wait to read about Gavin in book 3.

The Second Book in a Sexy Trilogy

This is a fun series to listen to with smart, pretty, competent heroines and over-the-top rich, handsome, accomplished heroes. The women are good foils for the men and the driving premise of a bet between gentlemen is a good place to start. If you enjoy an X-rated romance told with a lot of very explicit sex, and fun, engaging characters, you'll enjoy this.
