There's a New Teacher in Town

(Previously published by Harlequin)

Charlotte Nelson arrives in the tiny mountain town of Plumville, Arkansas, with big ideas. She wants to mend the decades-old town feud by throwing a Christmas pageant. But it soon proves to be a challenge, especially when three of her students are determined matchmakers. She's in no hurry to settle down - certainly not with the rugged, handsome sheriff.

Sheriff Asher Thomas can handle most trouble that comes his way, but Charlotte's flashing eyes and black curls are a threat of a different kind. Soon she's taking over his time and his thoughts. Will Asher change his bachelor ways for love?

Christian Historical Romance

This was a great book! I loved the antics of the three nephews and was aghast at the atrocities Charlotte suffered! Her Christmas surprises are wonderful too!
The narrator’s voice fit well with this book. All the characters sounded realistic.

little too obvious.

This was ok. I finished it but the story line in simplistic and predictable in many ways.

A really enjoyable story

With lots of love and laughter, you become immersed into the little town in the Ozark mountains as you try to decide which side of the years old feud you want to be on. Between the Jones and the Sweeney's the feud even dictates which side of the church you will sit on. Charlotte is a city girl who has never wanted anything else but to be a teacher. Ashton is the sheriff of the small town trying to keep the peace as he searches for his older brother. This is not the first book of Ms. Hickeys I have listened to and hopefully it won't be the last.

Very enjoyable story, difficult narration

I thoroughly appreciated a clean historical romance. I got involved in the story and it kept my interest to the end. The narrator however the left much to be desired unfortunately. It did not ruin the story for me, but because the narrator's voice is such a shy timid voice, she chose to characterize the male narration parts in a monotone to differentiate them. This made the male characters seem dull and uninteresting. I don't know if this is a new narrator that will improve as she learns how to use voice inflections, or if this is her best effort.

Excellence Christian Sexual Tension

I was disappointed in the last book I read by Cynthia Hickey. However this one is excellent. Great characters, excellent plot and Hickey’s use of sexual tension is perfect for a Christian romance.

Good Story

Someone new in town is one of curiosity and a challenge. Will her ideas as a teacher be excepted by the town and parents. To a sheriff, a big distraction, he thinks he doesn’t want, love can change their mind. Given audio which was good for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Entertaining holiday romance

The story started out slow for me. But I stuck with it and found myself soon engrossed in the story. It had a HEA, but not without a lot of drama. It turned into a very entertaining story to hear on audible.

Horrible Narrator

This could have been a pretty good book but the narrator was awful! Characters were basically given no emotion. It was actually a good storyline and had good Characters but some were given voices and others no so much. Just could not get over the emotion thing. I might recommend the book but not on audible!!

Wonderful book

I loved this book from beginning to end. It has love, humor and friendship. The way that charlotte went into teaching his first job was incredible and finding friends and love was great. The kids were wonderfully written and so many funny parts with them. You will love it!! I hope she continues to write more books like this one. Thanks
