The series continues with the fifth in the series. This book is all about Judy. We met her in book four as Michael's middle sister. The couple met at the end of book four and we see their relationship move forward in this novel. The novel was good but the foreshadowing was quite heavy handed and you actually saw it coming way far in advance -- what you ask -- well you have to listen.
There were a couple of surprises that Bybee let Judy wield that made the twists and turns interesting and there was a moment or two of high suspense -- Bybee is not really know for her drawn out suspense moments. The narration was good.
All in all, a solid increment on the series. I understand that the next one is due out in April of 2015.

There was a time while listening to this fifth installment of the series that I thought it would break my trend of giving average ratings...and then it did what the rest of the books (except the first) have done: It didn't quite measure up to something more than good enough. I get the impression that Catherine Bybee likes to add more to her romance stories than just romance, such as suspense, mystery, action, etc., but they all end up coming off as romance novels trying too hard to be suspenseful or mysterious or action-packed. She often has the right ingredients, but they don't come out as well as they could.
My major gripe with this story was that it ended up being too predictable like your classic thriller movie with people doing things when they should know better. The plot just isn't as attractive when people are doing silly or stupid things that can easily be avoided. The whole reason for the protagonists to get married was too contrived as well; I just didn't buy it and thought the main characters used the situation to get hitched rather than get hitched because they had to. Last, I thought Judy's understandable PTSD symptoms were inconsistent and depended on whatever the author needed from a particular moment in the book.
Same average rating for Tanya Eby. She delivers what she needs to for the book, but that's it.
I recommend this to fans of the author and series.
Really love this couple rick and Judy are fun and the stuff that they have going on in their lives I don't think I will ever play games again
Had another fantastic read of this series of books. The author is fantastic and takes you to a magical place
