Publisher's Summary

Samantha Rousseau is used to getting her hands dirty. Working on a master's degree in wildlife biology while helping take care of her sick father, she has no time for celebrity gossip, designer clothes, or lazy vacations. So when a duchess from the small country of Lilaria invites her to dinner, Samantha assumes it's to discuss a donation for the program. The truth will change the course of her life in ways she never dreamed....
As crown prince of Lilaria, Alex D'Lynsal has had his share of scandalous headlines, but the latest pictures in the press have sent him packing to America and forced him to swear off women. That is until he meets Samantha Rousseau. She's stubborn, feisty, and incredibly sexy. Not to mention heiress to an estate in his country, which makes her everyone's front-page news. While Sam tries to navigate her new world of politics and wealth, she will also have to dodge her growing feelings for Alex. Giving in to them means more than just falling in love; it would mean accepting the weight of an entire country on her shoulders.

Suddenly an enjoyable listen!

Would you listen to Suddenly Royal again? Why?

I think I would perhaps in a few years if I were to forget the main plot lines and what not. I was in the mood to listen to a Royal Romance and I'm sure I will be in the mood again down the line.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I think what was most interesting to me was how Sam dealt with everything. She wasn't overly estatic about her new situation nor did she entirely hate it. She had a real human reaction to be told that she was of royal decent. That truly made the whole story for me. I certainly related to her and her choices. I thought that the whole arch with her father was a bit lack luster and cliche but I understand what the author was trying to bring to the table.

What does Caitlin Davies bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved how she had very distinct voices for everyone and she brought a life to the story that I don't think I would have had if I had just been reading it. Her reactions and tone were very beleiveable and during some of the hotter scenes I could totally tell she was getting into it. Which honestly was fun, it's always nice when and author is enjoying what they are reading.
