Publisher's summary

The men in Texas are hard to resist…

Seattle event planner Allison Lane is an expert at delivering the perfect wedding - even if she might not exactly believe in the whole"'til death do us part" thing. When her father decides to tie the knot with a woman he barely knows, Allison heads to Sweet, Texas, to make sure his new honey is the real deal. What she didn't expect to find at the local honky-tonk was a sexy Southern man as bent on charming her pants off as he is on blowing her "true love doesn't exist" theory all to hell.

And they always promise…

Veterinarian, former Marine, and Sweet's favorite playboy Jesse Wilder takes one look at Allison and knows she's a handful of trouble he can't deny. But even after a sizzling kiss and obvious mutual attraction, it seems Allison has no such problem. When Jesse uncovers her sweet side, can he crush his playboy image, melt her cynical heart, and change her mind about taking a trip down the aisle?

Something sweeter.

Enjoyable despite so-so narration.

What does Xe Sands bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Was not crazy about the narrator, but she did handle the different voices quite well.

Very sweet!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I recommend this audiobook to anyone who loves contemporary romance.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the characters. They were all people that Id love to know, if they weren't fictional, that is.

Have you listened to any of Xe Sands’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Xe Sands is one of my favorite narrators. When I see a book that has been narrated by her I automatically buy it. She makes the characters come alive. She is truly gifted.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Love Texas style

Any additional comments?

This is my first Candis Terry book. I really enjoyed this, and plan to look for more books by her.

Oh, please!

I'm definitely not a prude and I enjoy a spicy romance, but this book screams of horniness every five minutes. I get it...the characters are hot and horny! No need to keep pounding it home. It definitely distracts from the story.

I purchased this book because I really enjoy Xe Sands as a narrator. Hats off to her for being able to wade through this writing.
