Publisher's summary

The moment everything changed didn't happen in that cliche rockets-red-glare kind of way, it happened in the form of a waking nightmare. I caught my husband, my high-school sweetheart, the father of my children, balls deep in a sordid affair.

That was when I gave up on men and love.

I didn't count on the NHL's golden boy, the beautiful, arrogant Cooper Stone, turning my life and my hockey rink upside down.

My kids are why I wake up in the morning.

Hockey is what Cooper breathes for.

We're from different worlds and places in our lives, but when our hearts collided, something so wrong and different turned into something so right.

Contains mature themes.

A found family, via hockey.

I like a good found family story and while this is a little different, in the end, it is about family that is more about love than about blood. We family manipulation via a trash ex and a daughter using her dad's position to get her way. Love won though. A lot more than I expected.

There's a slight age gap, but it's moreso about life lived than anything else. Parker got married young. Had a family young. So when she meets hockey star Cooper, sparks initially don't even have a chance, but then they explode. Their coupling works. The sex is hot. The jealousy was a little petty and not in the cool petty way. Still, I liked them.

It's a decent listen. Not too sure if I'd check it out again, but it was easy My biggest issue might have been the audio. Hempl doesn't come in until around the 20th chapter. It was a little weird for the listening experience. I had been so used to Moran that when Hempl did his part, I thought I accidentally clicked on another book. Moran was great and Hempl was good.

Great....did I say great book

This book was so good. Certain parts had me laughing out loud. Very steamy and hilarious read. I really love this author and can't wait for more of her books.

Couldn’t finish

Nothing about their first meeting at the start of the story to their first “sexy” interaction clicked for me. Couldn’t get past that so didn’t finish.

An audio to remember

Natasha Madison writes so kick butt alphas. Seriously she gives us everything we look for in our book men. I am hooked on this series. Joe and Melissa bring Cooper and Parker to life in such a spectacular way you feel as if they are real. An unbelievable experience listening to this book

Good Story

Something So Right was so much fun to listen to. The narrators made the story so much more. I cannot lie. Cooper was giving me so many darn red flags, but I had to make my head and heart know that some of the flags weren't meant in an ick way, but it did distract me here and there. But... I can't hold onto a grudge for a man who would take on two kids and baby daddy drama as his own. But Cooper also had some drama of his own. Totally a fun story to read.

Fat shaming

I usually leave good reviews and love Natasha Madison but this book. She does nothing but fat shame and statists show the percentage of women who are overweight (27.5%). How many readers are overweight? Or are just insecure about their body for being shamed. This completely turned me off this book. Definitely could not finish. I’m not being sensitive because I myself have trouble gaining weight but this is just crude….you can do better NM.

🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I would like to start off with that i did not finish this book..

It started off good, it seamed like it was going to be a good book, the story line appealed to me, The reviews seams pretty good. Then.. it just went down hill for me.. the male is soooo bossy and there is a difference between guiding someone in a direction you can tell they may be happy with and they are just afraid and just down right telling them what to do. And all the hey babe stuff became so very annoying. The book may end wonderfully, but i couldn’t force myself into one more minute of listening to it.

The narrators were just fine but that bossy stuff was way over the top and ruined the book for me.

One of my favorite books

I like that the characters weren’t stupidly tortured. They were very relatable. Strong love between them.

Good audiobook

A good audiobook.

I wasn't blown away by Joe Hempel performance but maybe it was only for this book, so I'll try another book reading by him. Melissa Moran was great and I enjoyed listening to this book.
The story was, entertaining. Not so great but not so bad either.

Struggled but re read 6 months later

I struggled to get through this. So many bothersome situations. Chauvinistic tendency never ended. It seemed like it was never ending spice even when not necessary. I ended up listening at 1.5. Speed. There should have been a more even male to female narration.
I did like the reference to eating “dessert” making them an official couple.
At the end, the epiphany by Cooper who I admit did have some growth but was still bossy and the way things are dealt with is awesome. I will consider the next book because it’s about Matthew and he intrigued me. On second read and after Mathew’s book as well as others like “This is Crazy,” Made for me”
