Publisher's Summary

Now that Elizabeth knows the truth about her past, she has returned to Longbourn. Wanting to reclaim her rightful place in the lives of her Bennet relations, she needs time before considering a life far away in Derbyshire with Mr. Darcy. He promised he would wait for her for as long as it takes. With so much distance between the two of them the question soon became how long is too long. When at last Darcy and Elizabeth are reunited in Hertfordshire, allegations and misunderstandings threaten to tear them apart. The question now becomes how much is too much.

Courtly love

The love story here is love for family. The tragedy is the loss of a child and the long ranging consequences for so many. The narrator' s voice expressed the grief.
Darcy portrayal was within his group of friends and his guard was down. Interesting too is his role of would be suitor who was not good enough.
The author left us wanting more....

True Love Requires Patience and Understand

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book is such a peek into the past when ladies were known for appearing "Prim and Proper"--however their thoughts were often not that way at all. Even in the olden days love and affection is needed by everyone and some people will go to extremes to find it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lady Victoria is a lady who definitely doesn't mind expression her opinions to others. She doesn't let anyone push her around. She is "feisty". She would do well in the modern world of romance.

What about Pearl Hewitt’s performance did you like?

Pearl really brings you back to the past and lets us hear how the people during the time conversed with each other. They had a way with words back then and it really makes me laugh sometime at the way they speak to each other !

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Age Old Story of How the Story of True Love Never Runs Smoothe

Any additional comments?

I think sometimes what my family would say if I used a few phrases that were used in this book during a conversation. They would think I lost my mind--no one is so "nice" any more it seems.
