Publisher's Summary

Detective Kane McDermott might be fighting a bad case of burnout, but that doesn't mean he's taking things easy. His latest assignment is to investigate Kayla Luck, to discover if the etiquette school she runs for awkward businessmen is really some kind of escort service.
It looks cut-and-dried...until he sets eyes on Kayla. She's smart, but she's also trusting to a fault - and the heat that flares up between them keeps getting in the way of Kane's best intentions. But if Kayla ever suspects his real motives, Kane will be the one who ends up getting burned.

Simply AWFUL!!!!!

Initial plot premise was okay. But our heroine is attracted to an emotionally unavailable police detective and they keep having the same interaction over and over and over. Attraction, rejection, denial, attraction, rejection, denial, etc,, etc., etc. The author needed to devote more time to crane story that brought our characters together.

Another drawback was the narrator. She read at such a slow pace that it made a poorly wriiten story even harder to listen to. I had trouble sleeping for 2 nights in a row, so I put this book on a 30 minute sleep timer and it worked better than a sleeping pill for both nights. Just a few minutes and I was out for the night!
