Publisher's Summary

Romance novelist Monica Ross made a remarkable comeback after divorcing her disloyal husband, Joshua. Leaving her home in Connecticut, Monica makes a fresh start in the Montana Mountains, and begins a new life in a new town. All she needs is a little peace and quiet to do what she loves most - write her next great novel.Only after needing a little carpentry done in her new cabin and meeting the town's master of woodwork does she remember why she enjoys writing romance so much. The handsome Jack Bear enters Monica's life like a warm breeze on a frigid day. He seemed to step straight out of one of her novels. The attraction between the two is instantaneous. Only time will tell whether the sparks will grow into more than just handyman and boss, or if shadows of the past will creep in to ruin Monica's new beginnings.Prepare to be dazzled in Wendy S. Otto's new book Silver Moon Shadows, which gives her listeners a sweet and warmhearted story of a little town full of unlikely characters - and a love story or two.

Narrator ruins the story!

This story wasn't bad, but the narrator was simply awful! She read way too fast, and there was no distinctions in voice tone or inflection between any of the characters. It was like listening to a 13-year-old girl prattle on and on about her day at Jr. High without taking a breath. It's unfortunate, because a poor narrator choice ruined an otherwise decent story.

Sweet but flawed

It's always enjoyable to have a romance novelist as the main character in a story. Otto offers detailed descriptions of the town, the characters, and Monica's past. Luckett's narration of this story rendered it useless as a romance novel. All of the aforementioned details were lost due to Luckett's fast paced reading. Romances should be read at a slower pace leading the characters through their "courtship" and not through a foot race. If Otto uses this narrator again, I won't purchase the audio version.
