Every once in a while I like to listen to something out of my "norm" and this one fit the bill. It is written and narrated very well and is entertaining from beginning to end. Because of the more adult banter between the main characters, it is more of an adult listen. It's definitely worth listening to if you need a laugh.
This is the first in a series of 8 on Audible, so if you don't like cliffhangers I suggest you get all of the books in the series.

Shopping for a Billionaire was positively laugh out loud funny, and I enjoyed every minute!
For a short story, and the first in a series, it had a natural flow. Julia Kent did an amazing job developing the storyline, and sticking to a few scenes that were well developed, descriptive, and funny. It was easy to visualize, and picture each situation perfectly as they played out.
In addition to perfectly laid out storyline, the characters were likable, which really made the story fun to listen too. Shannon's inter dialogue was clever, witty and just downright funny. When she had an embarrassing moment, you could actually feel it! And Declan McCormick was certainly more than he seemed. I liked his attraction to Shannon and the fact he was not afraid to be forward with her at their work/date dinner.
This is the first story I've listened to narrated by Tanya Eby, and I thought she did a wonderful job! Her voice fit the main character perfectly.

What made the experience of listening to Shopping for a Billionaire the most enjoyable?
The fact that I couldn't control my laughter at certain points in the story. Warning, this book is not to be read while running as laughing on a treadmill is a health hazard
What other book might you compare Shopping for a Billionaire to, and why?
Shopping for a Billionaire differs from the crowd of romance novels with it's stomach tightening laughter scenes. The blend of comedy and romance is spot on.
What does Tanya Eby bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Although not the voice I had imagined when I originally read the book, the expressiveness of Tanya Eby's voice especially around Marie and the sheer horror it conveys when she is being inappropriate is priceless!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
