Publisher's Summary

Mac knows Rogue is his from the moment she holds him hostage, but she'll never let him claim her....
If Mac ran the world, everything would be better. Everyone would say what they felt, mean what they said, and never, ever get offended. At least that's what he thought his own personal utopia would look like, until he met Rogue.
Rogue's life was just fine, thank you very much. An expert in her chosen field of danger and lies, she was well on her way to retiring by 30, as long as she could keep her curious mental slide under control. Until that hot-as-sin cop showed up, turning her life upside down, bringing her everything she'd always - and never wanted.

Two Strong Personalities

Rogue is strong minded, independent and plans to be free forever. Mac is blunt and doesn't feel he needs to change for anyone, that is until he meets Rogue, he needs to be more for her. Another intense story that has great descriptions, mystery and steamy intense attraction between mates. I have loved listening to this book along with reading. Narrator is really good.

Rogue you are on thin ice!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I have to admit that I love anything and everything that Lisa Ladew writes and anything that Michael Pauley narrates.

What about Michael Pauley’s performance did you like?

There is just something about this man that makes me feel all gooey inside. He is amazing. There is nothing that I have not listened to him where I was like, 'You know, he sounds like trash.' Everything has just been great and I cannot get enough of him. I will listen to all of his works if it is the last thing I do on Audible.

Any additional comments?

I have to admit that Rogue was starting to get on my nerves. I know that Rogue is supposed to complement Mac in every way but it came to a point where I thought Mac would be better off alone. I know Rogue has a lot of issues going on, like being raised to be a theft and all that, however her 'sisters' had it a lot worse. Take for instance Cerise, from Shifter's Innocent, she went through so much but yet never treated Beckett as though he was worthless. I do understand trust does not come easy to Rogue but come on.

I get that being tough is kinky but if she did not do her turn around when she did I would have just stopped. I cannot do the whole victim play all throughout a book.

I did enjoy this book though. I cannot wait until Bruin gets his book. He is just such a great character and I need to know more about him and what the great secret is.
