Publisher's summary

Sky Lacroux has finally realized her dream and opened her own tattoo shop in Provincetown, Massachusetts. She's as happy as can be, preparing the shop for its grand opening and renting a cottage in the seaside community while renovations to her new apartment are being completed. The only thing missing is the one thing she longs for and has no control over - love.

Sawyer Bass, a professional boxer, plays his guitar at a local bar to escape the painful reality of his father's deteriorating health and a recent health warning of his own. But when he spots a stunning brunette across the room, escaping reality goes out the window, and the beautiful woman becomes the focus of his next song - and maybe even the rest of his life.

When Sawyer walks into Sky's tattoo shop and sees the woman from the bar - Sky - the chemistry between them is instant. Sawyer is everything Sky could ever hope for in a man. He's honest, loving, sensitive, and potently virile - but boxing goes against everything Sky believes in. The closer they become, the more she realizes that her alpha boxer is waging his own emotional battle - only the battle she thinks he's waging isn't the one that threatens to tear them apart.

Sawyer and Sky

Sky is a tattoo artist. She’s just bought her own shop and loves the diversity of Provincetown. Sawyer is a boxer. He also writes songs and plays guitar. Imagine Sky’s surprise when Sawyer comes into her shop soon after she saw him playing guitar at a club. Sky and Sawyer share many interests, but there’s one big problem. Sawyer’s profession goes against everything Sky believes in. Can love bloom when there’s such a big obstacle in the way? Sawyer needs the money from one last fight to cover his dad’s medical bills, but his doctor says he shouldn’t fight anymore. Too many concussions. Will Sawyer fight? Will Sky accept Sawyer’s choice? Will chemistry be enough to overcome obstacles? Is it love, or not?

Melissa Foster sets the scene and creates a good story, and B.J. Harrison does a fantastic job with all of the voices for the characters (and there are many!). It was nice catching glimpses of the seaside girls and their guys, and it was nice getting to know Sawyer and Sky. This audiobook is so descriptive that I could visualize every scene, and B.J. Harrison put the voices into my head.

Sky and Sawyer are the perfect couple ❤️

Sky and Sawyer are Sky Lacroux is a free spirit and loves art and poetry and enjoys hanging out with her family and friends and recently purchased her own tattoo shop.
Sawyer Bass is a singer, songwriter, poet and a boxer. Sky sees Sawyer perform at a bar that she’s at with her friends and loves his beautiful voice and lyrics. He also notices her sitting with her friends reading a book and can’t take his eyes off her.
Sky has been thinking about Sawyer since she heard him play and then he walks into her shop for a new tattoo. She is completely tongue-tied and surprised by all the lyrics tattooed all over his back. Sawyer and Sky decide to go out to see some of the places that were the inspiration for Sky’s favorite poet.  This is how their relationship starts to build.  They believe they are soulmates and have so many things in common until Sky finds out that he is a boxer.  Sky is such a loving, kind person that she has a hard time falling for a man who is a boxer.
This is a great romance and Sawyer is a loving, sexy partner. There are some things to get through in this book, but boy, it it Great when they get their HEA! I loved seeing all the Seaside friends in this story!  Sky and Sawyer make a great couple and I am looking forward to the next book.  BJ Harrison did a great job narrating this book.

Highly recommend it...

Seaside Nights is book five in the Love in Bloom: Seaside Summers series. Sky finally gets her tattoo shop, and things are looking up. Sawyer is a professional boxer, playing guitar at night to ease his pain. When Sawyer sees Sky, all other thoughts of escaping reality go out the window. He is drawn to her. When they finally do meet, there is an instant connection. But there is one thing that holds Sky back. Can she overlook this and find true love? Will Sawyer's demons be laid to rest? I really enjoyed this story and the narrator. This is definitely one to pick up!

Sky & Sawyer

As an avid Melissa Foster fan I listened to the audiobook and read the book. This is Sky and Sawyer’s story and a welcome addition to the Seaside series.

B.J. Harrison does his usual excellent job of bringing Melissa’s characters to life and makes it easy to get lost in her world once again.

Sky Lacroux feels like she almost has it all, her very own tattoo shop in P-Town and is preparing for its grand opening. The only thing missing is love. She's happy for her Seaside friends who have found their "one", but she longs for that heart connection for herself.

Pro boxer Sawyer "Songbird" Bass has the heart and soul of a poet. Coping with his father's illness and dealing with a health threat of his own, he uses music and his own emotional songs to deal.

Sawyer plays his guitar at open mic night at a local bar and sees Sky in the audience. He's immediately captivated by the dark haired beauty who brings a book of poetry to the bar. Before the night is over he's so inspired by her he feels compelled to put his thoughts to paper and writes a song for her. But Sawyer doesn't approach Sky, assuming the guy who has his arm around the back of her chair is her boyfriend.

But fate won't be dismissed and Sawyer goes to get a tattoo, unknown to him that it's her shop. Sparks ignite and Sawyer is relieved to learn Sky is single. Each is everything the other one could ever hope for, until Sky learns Sawyer is a boxer.

She struggles with his chosen profession, trying to reconcile the sensitive, totally male poet and song writer with a man who's ok fighting.

As they grow closer they almost seamlessly become a couple. Sawyer fits in with her friends and family and Sky meets his boxing family and friends.

Sawyer needs to win one last big fight to help his parents meet their ever growing financial needs and things come to a heated head when a sparring match lands Sawyer in the hospital.

With love on the line these two lovers come to some startling revelations. New love, family and friends, coping with illness, and risking it all for love.

We get to visit old Seaside friends and meet new ones while falling for Sawyer and Sky. This couple is so engaging you'll want to listen to it in one or two sittings. Sweet, heartfelt and swoon worthy.

LOVE!!!

I loved this book. It was so romantic. If it is a Melissa Foster book I know it is going to be an awesome book. The Seaside Gang is so much fun makes me want to move to be with this group of people..This book is about Sky Lacroux and Sawyer Bass. BJ Harrison did a great job on the narration.

good book

This was another great addition to this series with Sky and Sawyer's story. The pair were a great couple and I enjoyed them from the start. Both have a strong sense of family with family issues that can be relatable to the reader. I continue to enjoy the return of the characters from the previous books so that as a reader I can catch up with them and I like how the way that they are included in each book. The story moved along well and at a good pace keeping me interested in the story. I liked Mr. Harrison's delivery of the story as he told it well and enthusiastically keeping me engaged in the story. I enjoyed this book from the beginning and would recommend it to others.

Chemistry at first sight

WOW!!! What can i say about Sky and Sawyer but...Instant Chemistry. From their first look at each other, they both knew it. But they werent sure they could act on it.

Sawyer is getting ready for a big fight...literally the fight of his life, and doesnt have time for a relationship to distract him. If he doesnt play this fight right and win, he could not only lose out on the money to help his father, he could also lose his life. He needs to concentrate.

Sky is not fond of the fact that Sawyer is a fighter. It goes against everything that she believes in. But, there is jsut something about Sawyer that she cant walk away from. She cant put the fighter that Sawyer is with the gentle man with the perfect words together as one person.

BJ Harrison does it again as he brings the words of Melissa to life with his emotion and inflection of every word he portrays.

Excellent audiobook

Sky Lacroux has purchased a tattoo shop in Provincetown. She is open for business as she prepares for her grand opening. Sawyer Bass is a boxer who is fighting in more ways than one. Sky goes out with friends and is entranced by the singer who is Sawyer. His words touch her in many ways. Melissa Foster has written a beautiful story filled with struggle, family issues and love. Her words pull you in to the lives of her multifaceted characters. The voice of B. J. Harrison brings Melissa Foster’s characters to life. He lends the different qualities of his voice to the various characters and excels at narrating the intimate scenes. Another audiobook hit for this author/narrator team.

Soulful

I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook of Seaside Nights by Melissa Foster. I absolutely loved listening to their story. It had everything and more. It had love, family, depthness, and soul reaching. B.J. Harrison was the narrator and he does a fantastic job telling their story. Sky Lacroux is back home to help her father and she is a great artist and has decided to open her own tattoo shop. Sawyer Bass is a boxer, song writer and singer. Sky wants someone soulful and that's exactly what Sawyer is. They first meet where Sawyer is singing one of his songs. Sky was mesmerized. Sawyer is helping his family earn income as a boxer to help his ailing father. They have a lot in common and as they spend more time together they get one another. And it doesn't hurt that their chemistry is amazing. I loved their story so much.

Swoon Worthy!

Sky and Sawyer are great characters. Sky is a tattoo artist while Sawyer is a boxer who will do anything for those he loves. These two characters mesh perfectly. They have chemistry that is off the charts. This whole Seaside group is great and each book in the series should be read. You can relate to at least one of the characters in any of the books.

BJ Harrison is back as narrator and he knocks it out of the park. His voice keeps you engaged and wanting more. He makes you feel like you are right there with the characters and you can feel all the emotion that is in the book. This is a great book to read and listen to.
