A fairytale ending.

Good storyline to finish up the series. Enjoyed the narrator ability to create the different voices for each character.

This is book fourth and final book in the Surrender Series

Rafe's sister Rachel been taken against her will by the powerful King Adriano. King Adriano is better known to Rachel as Ian? This is one story in the series that links Rafe to King Adriano who has recently ascended the throne of Corinthia. Adriano and his brother, Gianni is out for revenge, for what he feels is rightfully his to claim. The kingdom he once renounced which then Adriano took.

Through all of this Rachel is pregnant and is so determined not to fall in love with the handsome king's plot to get to the altar before she can run again. Shane's gone on an undercover mission for his special-operations team leaving Lia heartbroken once again. Lia believes that the man she loves Shane has lied to her. Do Lia and Shane have a chance of reconciliation? Has Lia given up their happy ending?

Scorched book no 4 in this series was better than the last two. Same old story though to some of her other books. The man meets the woman wants to control her. He doesn't want to commit she won't stay if he doesn't love her
something happens to make him change his mind. The author uses this theme several times in her books. Getting sick of the male wanting control.

Would you consider the audio edition of Scorched to be better than the print version?

It is the same story so that question doesn't make sense. However, I enjoy listening to the book being read out loud because I can remember details and it seems so much easier to get involved hearing it read rather than reading it myself.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Scorched?

When all the couples finally figured out what they wanted. It seemed to take such a long time for Rafe and his sisters and Ari to figure out what they wanted. One minute the women were telling the guys NO and then the next they were in bed with them. That part of the story seemed to go on and on and on.

What about Lily Swan’s performance did you like?

She did a good job.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I loved the parts of the story when Rafe finally realized who and what he wanted. He was so romantic in how he treated Ari and how let her know his feelings FINALLY!!!!

Any additional comments?

Read all four books together, one right after the other. If not read this way, the reader won't understand what is happening.

Not a fan of cliff hangers but I did enjoy these books because I was able to read them one after the other until the end.

This was a great book to sit back and relax with after a long hard work day.

Good story ruined by poor narration

Narrator boring you could tell one character from another. I didn't even finish the book because she was so boring.
