A good story but the narration wasn't so good.

If you could sum up Scarred in three words, what would they be?

interesting, steaming and heartbreaking

What did you like best about this story?

The struggle, it was more of an today life not fantasy. Learning, growing and trying to better ones selve.

What three words best describe Jennifer Saucedo’s voice?

very little emotion, robot, unsmooth

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

One hot steam filled scenes with much pain and baggage. Characters are heart touching with a lot of pain that grow as they get older and find their way.

Any additional comments?

I felt this was a good read, I did feel there was not enough details given. The book moved on and I felt lost at times. The author usually came back and touched on the issues but I still was left with a few unanswered questions. I did enjoy reading the book much more then the audio.

That being said the narrator sounded like she was just reading most of the time with little or no emotion and voice changes to show the different characters. The love scenes seem dry with no feeling or emotion, no excitement it was like someone just reading out loud. Characters got angry but you did not see that in the narrators voice. I do have to say the narrator did show some emotion and I thought shes got it now only to be left feeling let down. I am hoping she will grow and build her skills as she does more audios.

The author herself puts a lot of emotion in the book, there are a lot of pain, heartbreak. I did feel Jordan was a little wishy washy as so many women can be. She broke his heart and walked away but then said Gavin broke hers. Gavin reminds her she is the one that moved on. I really do not think Jordan knew what she wanted. I was glad to see Jordan worked out the issues with her mother and they got closer. There is no doubt that Jordan has a tough life from the beginning, had she not lost her love so early she most likely would not have made the choices she made, which in return scarred her for life. It was just a snowball effect after that with her life going out of control and no one there to help her through it. The scenes where hot and steamy but not to much of an erotica for me. I am looking forward to reading more in the next books up to see if they are able to overcome their issues and find their peace together.

On this book the read is much better then the audio, the read is well worth it. Yes the author leaves some question unanswered but I am hoping she will fill in some of the blanks in the next books of the series.

This book was great! I had my concerns about it at first, but I'm glad I took the plunge! The narrator did a great job as well!

What did you like best about this story?

From my understanding this was a first book for this writer, and over all it was a great first! I would have liked a bit more detail for so many years but still worth listening to and the narrator makes it fun (the parts that can be fun) clearly the first chapter is meant to be read very dead pan but then chapter 2 everything changes!! I loved it!

Give this book a chance! I think you might love it! I cant wait to hear what happens next with Jordan and Gavin!

The erotic scenes were the best parts.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Scarred?

Two women and a man have a party in a bathroom. There's drinks, drugs, and some group mingling. It was hot action.

I've listened to many of Jennifer Saucedo's audiobooks. In Scarred, she delivers another high quality performance.

You Know The Party's A Wild Bash When Someone Leaves Scarred.

Not a good read for me.

Definitely. Can someone be this scarred from losing a boyfriend, especially a teenager?

Don't know. I did not read all of it.

Horrible Narration

You know what.. I am not sure it was the narrator or the recording..but it was just bad... You know what.. it was both... the narration and the recording... I gave up at like chapter 1. I wonder how good this story is..but I simply won't find out by listening...I will be reading this one..
