Publisher's summary

Taylor is a vampire - but she doesn't want to be. Turned against her will by her sadistic mistress, Celeste, she has been living a miserable life of bondage and abuse for the past six years. Finally, through the help of her best friend, Addison, Taylor is rescued, but she can't relax for long. In order to save her from an even worse fate, she is married off to Victor - a very reluctant groom who just happens to be a werewolf. Victor doesn't want to be responsible for the fledgling vampire, no matter how beautiful she is. Especially when he finds out he is the only one she can drink from. But aside from the strange arousal that overtakes him every time she sinks her dainty fangs into his throat, he has other problems to deal with...and a very big secret to hide. Their marriage of convenience is supposed to last for only three months, but Victor and Taylor find themselves drawn together by more than the vows they took. But as their attraction grows, so does something else. Inside Taylor, something is changing. She begins to have physical cravings she has never had before, insatiable appetites that only Victor can satisfy. Will she succumb to the madness growing within her, or can Victor save her from the Scarlet Heat?

Bring On The Heat!

Would you listen to Scarlet Heat again? Why?

Absolutely!! The characters, and plot were well developed, and the length of the story was perfect, not too long and not to short.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Scarlet Heat?

There were some many moments I truly enjoyed but I loved the scene of where we get to hear wolf's POV when he comes home with the trap stuck to his paw, and the scene where Victor's beast tries to heal Taylor when she gravely hurt.

What about Mackenzie Cartwright and Jeremy York ’s performance did you like?

Mackenzie and Jeremy did an outstanding performance, and gave each character their own voice. I will definitely will be on the lookout for more audiobooks from either of these narrators!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This story was so hot and steamy, and I thought I might go up in flames!

Any additional comments?

This is a credit worthy story, and I've already suggested it to several of my friends!

Much better than the first book

This book I enjoyed much more than book 1. Maybe because I expected the Heroine to be a little more delicate. She came into her own strength final towards then end of the book.

Could of had a little more talking rather than assumption between the 2 main characters. They were both too scared to acknowledge their true feelings which got annoying after a while, the book was still decent.

Good ... but disappointing

Understandable she is shy and uncertain, but hell shy can not be as stupid and slow not to see what she was doing to him , or the fact she needed to talk. She was a damn Animal doctor and still didn' t get it ......

Hot

Sexy, hot and tantalizing! This book has everything a girl is looking for in a great paranormal romance. Hot, but not over the top sex scenes. Damsels in distress, suffering real-life crisis. Hot leading men that will go to any lengths to please and save their woman. And great, somewhat realistic paranormal suspense.
The narrators' performances were beyond excellent and the characters were easy to distinguish one from the other. Their voices were very smooth and easy to listen to. A big part of audiobooks is great narration, without which ruins an otherwise superb book. You won't find that here!
An abused vampiress is forced to marry a cursed werewolf to save her life. She has to feed only from him due to the laws of paranormal marriage. She starts to experience strange changes, such as being able to tolerate sunlight, amongst other things. Eventually they build an attachment to one another, which is threatened within their own relationship. Those that abides her come for her and threaten everything the two have built together and the werewolf's cursed secret will be revealed.
This audiobook has many plot twists and turns and is a beautiful and sexy love story. It's a must read/listen! But do read/ listen to the first in the series beforehand "Crimson Debt"

Scarlet Heat

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this audiobook to friends who enjoy a great paranormal read. Listening to the story was as fantastic as reading the book myself.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved Victor. He acted so hard but was such a softie at heart and did whatever it took to protect Taylor.

Which character – as performed by Mackenzie Cartwright and Jeremy York – was your favorite?

I enjoyed all of the character performances by Mackenzie Cartwright and Jeremy York. When it comes to audiobooks, if I don't enjoy it even in the slightest I cannot finish them.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to this book in one sitting so that in itself says a lot about how much I enjoyed it.

Any additional comments?

After enjoying the first two audiobooks in the series I can honestly say I cannot wait to hear Gwendolyn and Laish's story.

Seriously, is anyone this stupid?

Her characters are so dense, it's ridiculous. Not a believable scenario. Cardboard character that just a flimsy excuse for a lot of dirty talk.

3 1/2 stars

Well, I listened to book 1 and 2 and they were ok. I would say I would rate it as PG16. Compared to Kym Grosso and the Immortals of New Orleans, it's really not that Hot and the paticular kind of Angst that this author uses only irritates me. We are to believe that, at the very least, that these characters are 30 some years old up to hundreds of years old immortals and the have not learned how to communicate? I hate when there is heartache between two adults that is life shattering but none of these characters pause to ask the one they love to explain their actions before the other party makes life altering decisions? And, to top it off, these adults are so very insecure that they avoid even seeing or speaking to each other because they are too embarrassed to face each other? For real? It's like reliving middle school. Oh well, I guess that this series is not my cup of tea, therefore, I'm returning these books and moving on.
