Publisher's summary

After eight years in the Marines, Jacob Lorde returns to Blessings, Georgia, with no plans other than to hole up in his empty house and heal what's left of his soul. But with a charming next-door neighbor and a town full of friendly people, keeping to himself is easier said than done.

Laurel Payne understands far too well what Jake is going through, after witnessing her late husband experience similar problems. She's in no hurry to jump into another relationship with a complicated guy, but their attraction is undeniable - and perhaps exactly what both of them need.

Love love love

I stumbled across this series by chance.. I am so glad I did!! I find myself captivated by the characters and appreciative of the author for circling around to characters from previous books to still highlight what is happening in their lives!! I can’t wait to dive head first into book three!!

Good stories with little sex

This was a book about a veteran who returned home from the war with PTSD and a widow whose husband returned from the war and then shot himself from his severe depression and PTSD. They both had a lot to overcome. Nice HEA.

Totally hooked on this series

I am so happy I gave this author and series a try. I love this town and adore how Ms. Sala weaves faith, friendships and even humor and suspense into each heartwarming story. Jake and Lauren were meant to find each other after such tragic pasts. I'm diving into the next book asap.

Great Read

Saving Jake (Blessings, Georgia, #3) was a great read by Sharon Sala. Jacob has returned to his hometown of Blessings, Georgia after eight years in the Marines. His only plan is to hole up in his empty home and fix what’s left of his soul. But the town and his charming neighbor find him doing more than he planned. Laurel understands what has happened to Jake because she witnessed her ex husbands similar experiences. She doesn’t really want a relationship but can’t fight her attraction to Jake. I loved reading this book and can’t wait to read more by Sharon Sala.

The nice town where residents care for neighbors.

I like the romantic and suspens together. The sex is kept to a minimum. The narrator is good.

Very uplifting story.

Sharon Sala never fails to deliver a well thought out, inspirational storyline, with fulling developed realistic characters.

I wanted a story to get lost in for Christmas Day and Saving Jake became the most perfect and fitting gift. Apropos the story extended over the period between Thanksgiving and Christmas 🎄 Day. So after all the eating and togetherness, I was able to sit back and enjoy some me time.

The story unfolded smoothly and easily.
Despite the varying and potentially debilitating adversities, the main characters were able to rise above and triumph over their pain.

The story was made even more suspenseful and intriguing by the slapstick antics of the protagonist as he struggled to meet out his revenge.

Despite the serious themes, there was enough humor to ease the telling of the tale.

The narrator was exceptional and made all the individual characters come alive in a lively and engrossing way.
