Publisher's Summary

Scarlett....
When going to war, there are three very simple rules one must abide by.
1. Know thy enemy
2. Be prepared to sacrifice.
3. Always wear good shoes

After all, revenge is a dish best served in stilettos.
I've got an eye for it, and nothing's going to stand in my way.
Not even Rory "The Saint" Brodrick.
He's a fool if he thinks he can change me. By the time I'm through with him, I'll make his mafia look like child's play.
Cross me, Mr. Brodrick?
You better cross your heart and hope to die.
Rory....
I'm a fighter. A hustler. A mobster.
I've seen a few things in my day.
But I've never encountered anything like her.
She's a beauty with a beast of a heart. The poison apple I just can't resist. And in her trail she leaves a wake of men crawling on their knees.
What she doesn't know is that I like my women wild.
It only makes it that much more fun to tame them.
This is a dark mafia romance. A full-length standalone novel with HEA and no cheating.

4 Saint Stars

I had the pleasure of reading this series via audiobook. I am sooo glad I went that root, because the accents and the narrator Tracy does a freaking fantastic job with this whole series!

Saint was a great book I loved the connection between Rory and Scarlet. My heart when out to her the most she really was out for vengeance, and rightly so.

Rory wasn't who I was expecting he was the hard guy with this big marshmallow center; I should have figured that would be the case from the last books. But I was still surprised.

There was a lot of action in this book, like the last for sure. But I don’t know something was just missing. It focused more on Rory and Scarlett and that was kind of it. Which is good but I miss the other characters sure they pop in from time to time but it wasn't like it was in the previous books.

Ghost and Reaper are my favorites of the series but I sure am glad I listened to this one. I hope Storm gets a book, I want no that’s not right I NEED to know her story. I think she deserves a HEA.

They Said The Devil Wears Prada….

…. well they haven't met Scarlett or her stilettos!

A. Zavarelli's writing is Dark, Edgy, Authentic and simply Brilliant! I L O V E this series and the world Zavarelli has created. Can't recommend this enough! It's captivating! Intriguing! Steamy! And Dangerous! The plots are suspenseful and weave the right amount of sex and thrilling action in each story. The characters are always well developed multilayered, flawed, damaged, and have distinctive personalities, and the Saint just might have the most damaged character yet, Scarlett. Better know as the "Devil," she is out for blood. Her tale of revenge is not easy, it's emotional, raw, and at times heart pounding, but it's an epic tale.

The characters: While Crow is my favorite character, Rory is my second favorite. He had a great personality, and I liked out of all the characters, he had the most sense of humor. Scarlett was strong and damage, but also naïve. She thought she could handle her plans of revenge all on her own, but learned quickly, she was no match for all her enemies.

Relationship: The relationship between the H/h was a constant battle of push/pull. Scarlett was determined to push Rory away and would use words and action to try to inflict pain; however, Rory saw right through her façade. He wanted to be the one to protect her and help her carry out her plans of revenge. While the others did not trust her motives, Rory knew she was the perfect women for him. They had a lot of steamy chemistry between them and each encounter was full of need, attraction and sexual tension, making the sex scenes hot!

Writing: Zavarelli is a master with words! She really knows how to write stories that are creative, vivid and unique. I clipped and saved so many lines, quotes or dialogue from this story. I especially loved the slightly dark spin she put on one of my favorite childhood poems "Sugar and Spice."

~ Some girls of are made of sugar and spice, and everything nice. Some are made of venom and sin. When you open the chambers to their hearts, you will find absolutely nothing within. ~

Tracy Marks performance ROCKS! Her accents, characters, and emotions are flawless and she narrates with such passion and depth, you feel all the emotions. There's no doubt Tracy is the RIGHT narrator for this series, few female narrators would be able to pull off the same quality performance.

The Saint is a dark, sexy suspenseful thriller with excellent world building and characters. For those who like their romance on the darker side, you don't want to pass this one up. It's really an AWESOME story and performance! While there are triggers like rape, these scenes are played out from the characters memories and are not too detailed. “I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.”
