Publisher's Summary

1421: Henry V and his young bride, Catherine de Valois, are blessed with the birth of a son - but their happiness is short-lived. Catherine is widowed, and when her father, the French king, also dies, her son inherits the crowns of France and England. Just 10 months old, Henry VI will need his mother's watchful care to protect him from political intrigue, but Catherine is a foreigner at the English Court. Lonely and vulnerable, she is held in suspicion by those with their own claims to the throne. Only with another outsider - a young Welshman named Owen Tudor - does Catherine find true friendship, but their liaison must be kept secret at all costs.

I got my historical fix!

Loved this book. If you like stories of the Tudors this book would be up your alley. In my opinion it was interesting from being to end, historical politics, romance and lore. Can't wait to find another book from her!

Amazing Performance & Equally Amazing Story

One of the best audible performances I have had the pleasure of listening to. The narrator's use of different voices for different characters is subtle and enjoyable. The story itself is one that has left me craving more. The little told story of the love affair of Queen Catherine and Owen Tudor was a inspiring story full of love and intrigue, leaving the listener always on the side of the 2 lovers. This has made me a fan of the author, and I sincerely hope a sequel is written!
