Publisher's summary

Book One in the new adult rock star series, Lost in Oblivion.

Love definitely wasn't on the setlist.

Opening for their idols on their first tour, Oblivion is living the dream. Mostly. Frustrated at being shoved out of his mediator role by their new manager, Deacon McCoy loses himself in brutal workouts. He only comes up for air long enough to refuel - and to tease the deliciously cute chef who makes him crave a lot more than what she's offering on her serving plate.

As the child of roadie parents, Harper Pruitt has heard every pickup line twice. To her, musicians are one step above the scraps on her cutting board. All she wants is to get enough experience to run her own catering company, but Deacon and his bottomless stomach are too tempting to resist. He's far from the typical rock star and before long, she finds herself experimenting with him, inside and out of the kitchen.

Apron - and panties - optional.

When Harper sees that Deacon's dream band with his best friends may be turning into a nightmare, she can't walk away. Deacon's so much more than just a peacemaker and the man behind the bass. But she has her own dreams to chase...even if she's starting to think what she's building with him might be the biggest one of all.

CLIMB ABOARD THE TOUR BUS & ENJOY A GREAT STORY

An very entertaining start to a new Rocker series as we meet each member of the Band Oblivion while they're on tour, learn all their very different personalities and, when an old friend turns up, we get to understand the pain-filled and dysfunctional dynamics of Oblivion. But the main story is the instant attraction Bassist Deacon has for the leading Chef Harper who is tantalising his taste buds with her food and is making him drool with her looks, body and personality. Unfortunately for Deacon Harper is trying very hard to only appeal to his stomach rather than his heart because she has had her heart broken before by a Rocker and she doesn't intend to go there again.

However sexual chemistry isn't something either one can deny and the tall, dark, handsome and very sexy Bassist slowly works his magic with his hot kisses, sincerity, personality and devotion to Harper and they start getting hot n heavy together. Deacon is such a loveable character and he freely admits he wants much more than just sex with Harper but she's blocking out her true feelings because she's hoping to be offered her dream job and nothing or nobody can stand in her way..... or could they.

Dual POV's, the narration is a joy because when he H/H talk to each other it's like a normal conversation as the female and male narrators interact with each other with humor, tenderness, a little bit of angst and a lot of "I need you now's". When the male narrator says the male parts and the female narrator says the female parts is when, IMO, dual narration really works well.

Worth a credit? A natural and smoothly progressing romance, loveable characters and a few that are 'questionable', a wonderful and perfect Hero who thankfully isn't a 'bang any groupie' type, a multi-layered plot as the band finally finds fame, some drama and plenty of sexy times mixed in with the romance. So this all adds up to a very creditworthy listen and I can't wait to see who will be next to fall victim to Cupid's arrow.

Loved, loved, loved it!!!

Very easy listen, so sweet and well narrated. A delight that I did not want to end...
I've listened to a lot of rock star books but this one was the lightest, funniest one. The beginning was interesting and their attraction started mildly but then their connection got stronger and I loved every single part.
Very good to clean our minds for a while. Totally worth the credit.
Hope the next book comes out soon, can't wait for the next story...

I NEED a Deacon!

What did you love best about Rocked?

THE ENTIRE STORY!!

What other book might you compare Rocked to and why?

I don't compare books, but I will say Rocked is up the top in my Rockstars list... WHY?? because the story was everything you want to read about, an AMAZING tour, then a possible signing, some backstabbing, just as the main characters are falling in love.

What does Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

There are certain aspects to this book that made listening to Kai & Wen an absolute pleasure.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed alot, also shook my head at some of the antics the characters were up to... please don't ask where, I've been in a "Rocked" hangover since I finished it.

Any additional comments?

Harper & Deacon made me want to be on the road touring with a band, then super hungry when the food was being described. I felt like I was there within the story, ALL THE TIME, I definitely need the rest of this series ASAP!!

LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS BOOK!!!

I've found my new favorite narrators that's for sure! I am now looking for anything with this dynamic pair in it. I hope Quinn & Elliott decide to put the other Oblivion books to narration because reading them would be such a let down.

Good Intro Book

This series intro book sets up several characters for subsequent stories, aside from its own couple. Very likable characters and some very funny lines. Good sex too, WTG big guy!

A really good audiobook!

Let's begin with my rating... While the stars say 4, 5, 4, I would really rate this audio book at a 4.5 stars! I wish we had that option.

This audio book is a love story about a band trying to make a name for themselves and their mark on the world along with a love story combined. It is well written, original and a great plot too. I found this story to be a little predictable (just a little bit), but very enjoyable too. I loved the music intro's at every chapter. The intro's made it feel more like a rock star book.

The authors, Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn did a good job on this book. I enjoyed listening to it from beginning to end. I would like to take a moment to say Thank you to the authors for having the wisdom to choose dual narrators in real time, (meaning the narrators sat side by side and narrated the book together). What a rare treat that is! The narrators, Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott did a fantastic job on the narrations! I wish all audio books were narrated in this format! I loved the multiple voices and the emotions were spot on! The entire narration was very believable. This book is a very memorable read!

This is my first read by these authors and narrators that I know of. This is my honest opinion and I won this audio book in a book event.
