Publisher's Summary

Indy Savage is a former wild child (okay, maybe not so "former") and current used-bookstore owner. Lee Nightingale is a former bad boy and now runs a private investigation service. Toss together a quiet barista with a not-so-lawful side-business, a crazy Vietnam Vet, a pothead, a drag queen, family and friends who will not mind their own business, a few stun guns, and a bag of diamonds, and mix them all up with some shootings, a high-speed chase and car bombs exploding, then hang on for your first wild Rock Chick ride.

Not my kind of female lead.

What would have made Rock Chick better?

If you like woman who make fools over themselves over men then you might like this book. But for me I don't like books who have women controlled by their hormones or men. I found the character a spoiled brat and finally had to fast forward to the last chapter. I also listened to the free chapter from the next book and seems like she's the same type of character. I won't be reading anymore.

What could Kristen Ashley have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Kristen's narration was fine with what she had to work with.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

What character would you cut from Rock Chick?

This has to be the dumbest heroine in any book. She gets kidnapped three times in two weeks. Really! Her boyfriend is a bully and control freak who never accepts "no" for an answer. Liberal use of the "F" word throughout the book--males and females. I listened to the entire book because I couldn't believe how poorly written it was. Then I found out that this is the first in a series. Publishers--you need higher standards.
