The doctor's daughter has a secret wish....

From USA Today best-selling author Lacy Williams comes a story of courage and first love.

About the book:

Cowboy Maxwell White has dreamed of being a doctor for years. But with two years to go on his medical degree and with no money to continue his education, he's back in Bear Creek, Wyoming, working part-time for the local doc. He's drawn to the doctor's beautiful, intelligent daughter, but she doesn't seem to want anything to do with him - and the shyness he's never quite overcome has him tongue-tied.

Hattie Powell can't help noticing her father's new assistant. He treats her like a real person and sees things she'd rather he didn’t - which is dangerous. She's so close to embarking on her dream of becoming a doctor. When Maxwell discovers her secret desire, will he help her or stand in her way?

One family will brave the wilderness of Wyoming to fight for their livelihoods...and for love.

This is my third time reading and listening to Cowboy Doctor. I love the series. I like being able to read it on kindle unlimited but am slowly buying the books so I can read them anytime.

A touching story!

This was an incredible book with an exceptional narration! I especially loved how her voice was able to sound both masculine or feminine depending on the character speaking!
I was once a very insecure person with little self worth and could totally relate to Maxwell! Such a touching story of putting yourself on the line for a chance at true love!!

Are they each exactly what the other needs?

It's been a while since I've listened to a Lacy Williams audiobook and it's been a really long time since it was A Wyoming Legacy Novel that I listened to. I have no good answer as to why because I wondered that very thing myself as I listened to Return Of The Cowboy Doctor.

Return Of The Cowboy Doctor was a fun and easy historical romance listen/read. The characters were interesting and likable and you can't help but root for Hattie and Maxwell to find love and a way to attend medical school.

In today's year of Covid-19 it was a little eerie listening to an audiobook where the characters face an outbreak of cholera and have to set up quarantine and treatment areas.

As I mentioned, I did listen to the third book in the A Wyoming Legacy series as an audiobook. I thought the narrator was good and she did a nice job bringing Lacy Williams's story to life. No complaints about the sound or production quality. Just a good story and a good audiobook.

(I received a copy of this book from the author. All opinions are entirely my own.)

Wonderful Story about Wonderful People!

Maxwell White was my favorite of all the boys in the first book of this series and I was rooting for him in life not just in love.! For someone who was given such a bad lot early in life, Maxwell shows what happens when people come along side and love a kid into becoming a wonderful adult. I love how Lacy shows this theme throughout all the books in this series.

Hattie is the perfect match for Maxwell. Her own problems make her face her fears along with having to deal with over protective parents. She is not looking for love, but for freedom. The question is can she find both, or will she have to choose? I love how Hattie's character develops through this book and how her strengths and weaknesses are realistic and how even with being a strong woman, she sees how a man of Maxwell's character could very well be what she needs in life.

I loved this story for the way that Lacy Williams deals with pain, the past and prejudices in a very honest and loving way. Both characters have real internal struggles that they have to understand and grow through along with dealing with their growing friendship and the pressures from trying to save the whole town of Bear Creek, Wyoming.

Laura Jennings continues her wonderful job at weaving Lacy's stories with believable voices and brings the emotion of this book to life! Wondering what the other White boys will do with their lives! 🙂

This audible was given to me for an honest review.

They just keep getting better!

The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no expectation of a review. I loved this series. Each book keeps getting better than the last one! I loved that the lead female character was also an aspiring doctor and that she was considering having a career as well as a family.

It's nice to read about a strong female lead that wasn't content to just do women's work. That is a bit unusual in books of this time period.

One of her best!

Such a beautiful story about an insecure young man with ambitions and a beautiful young woman with ambitions. Their mutual love of doctoring draws them together, as their romance flourishes. I absolutely love the White family! If you are on the fence, then definately buy this book and the rest in this series.
