Publisher's summary

One minute, Casey Shea was minding her own business, doing her job, teaching entomology to college students, and the next she was in the middle of the Costa Rican jungle fighting for her life.

Troy “Beatle” Lennon has watched his friends fall head over heels in love, but never thought it would happen to him. Until he sees a picture of his teammate’s sister. That was it. The absolute joy in her eyes calls to him in a way he can’t understand.

But that joy is currently being threatened by an unknown person who had Casey kidnapped and hidden deep in the jungle. It’s up to Beatle to find her and keep her safe until the threat can be neutralized. Surviving the dangers of the jungle turns out to be the easy part.... Staying ahead of the killer is much more complicated... and deadly.

Rescuing Casey is the seventh book in the Delta Force Heroes series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

Casey and Troy

I stayed up all night listening to this latest book in Susan Stoker's series. It is very good and well worth spending a credit on Audible to listen to it before the kindle version releases

I also enjoyed the epilogue portion where we get a sneak peak of the upcoming books.

Highly recommend that you read the books in order to get the maximum enjoyment!

Loved this story!

4.5*s

The big man, aka, Beetle has a new mission. Find and rescue his team mate and best friend, Blade’s sister. Casey Shay and three of her students have been lost in the jungles of Costa Rica. It’s a tough road but there is a light at the end of it. With the skills they’ve been working on for years, the team sets off to Costa Rica.

Finding Casey wasn’t easy but they did it. The hard part now is getting her out of the jungle. The race is on and they’re all on borrowed time. But nothing stops a delta force soldier, nothing.

Back on the stars Casey adapts, starts to heal and the feelings she and Beetle share grow. Time passes and just when things seem to be going on the right direction, the unthinkable happens. One minute all is good then... it’s all upside down and sideways.

In the end, the team is able to bust in and save the day. It’s what they do. It sets off a new chain reaction of event. Ones that bring a few new things - all good - to light.

As usual Susan teases you with he epilogue... but I can say I had some of these figured out already. Lol but even with the things I figured out while listening, I absolutely LOVED this story.

I can’t wait for more!

Good book

I like the stories, too open bedroom for me, but like the stories. I like that Susan stoker puts scenarios that our military goes through and how to deal with them. would like to hear the stories from a male narrator instead of female. or have both male and female.

Love the story just not ignorance.

I love all the action in these books and the stories. I just really wish she wouldn't make the women act so stupid. In every book the women and strong and smart, but they all do the dumbest things. I'm sorry but if my life was in danger, I would not keep stuff to myself. I most certainly would tell someone ASAP. and the men are supposed to be heroes but they get distracted so easily.

Bug man to the rescue

What made the experience of listening to Rescuing Casey the most enjoyable?

The narrator was awesome and really made the story come alive. The storyline from this author is always great and when you read the story you kind of have an idea of what the characters would sound like in your head. This narrator was almost spot on to my imagination.

What other book might you compare Rescuing Casey to and why?

Maybe Indiana Jones as they were being chased through the jungle. Indie hated snakes and Beatle hated bugs.

Which scene was your favorite?

I loved when Casey was describing why she liked bugs and Beatle's reaction to her pets was hysterical.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Bug man to the rescue

Any additional comments?

Ms. Stoker always writes awesome adventures and this one did not disappoint.

A solid addition to the series

I swear only Susan Stoker can have a story caked in mud and bugs and yet still manage to be romantic and sexy, I found the emergency/crisis at the end far fetched but that is not why I read these books so I forgive the suspension of belief. I think reading/listening to the whole series is the richest experience. Narrator did a great job. Not my favorite in the series, but certainly not a disappointment.

Non Stop action

What a story! The action is non stop. Once I started listening, I didn't want to stop. I really enjoyed the part with Annie. Great ending. And I cried. Listening to this story instead of reading it really brought the story to a different reality than just reading. I would recommend getting Audible for Rescuing Casey.
