Publisher's summary

Meet Phillip and Jayne Miller, original homeowners on Juniper Court. He's a successful attorney; she's a flourishing blogger. Head over heels in love and approaching 50, their relationship needs a little jump start. With the Miller's twin girls married and moved away from Sunview, Phillip and Jayne decide it's time to focus on resuscitating their relationship, complete with spicing up their neglected sex life. When competition between the two sets in, it becomes a full out game to see who can one-up the other trying new things. Ah, yes. Life on Juniper Court gets interesting...and sometimes embarrassing. Be careful what you wish for and where you stick your nose. Sometimes keeping up with the Joneses - or in this case, the Sullivans - can have consequences.

Book You Can Listen To More Than Once

This is a book that I actually had to listen to more than once before writing this review. One reason for that was because the first time I listened thoughts of my parents kept filtering through. That wasn't good for either the author or for myself. I mean just ew. Don't get me wrong I loved my parents but putting them in the roles of Phillip and Jayne was just so wrong. So I had to detach myself from that picture and relisten while trying to picture someone else in those roles.

If you need a short book to listen to, and one that will get you to laugh, than this would be a good choice. Our couple shows that just because you get to a certain age doesn't mean that you can't enjoy your spouse in "that" way. You can still have fun with each other. In going into this book I didn't realize that it was part of a series. That might have been a good thing because it let me know that this can be considered a standalone. But by the end it left me wondering are there more out there or are there more stories yet to come. And it certainly made my yard work much more enjoyable.

No disrespect to the narrator but she was perfect as Jayne. After listening to her I don't know that I would be able to picture anyone else in that role. It also left me looking forward to checking out more of her work. As for the author, I enjoyed getting this introduction into Ms. Theriot's writing style. So I can safely say that I will probably be seeing what else she has to offer.

I voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook copy of this book.

Fantastic!!!

Fantastic!!! I've volunteered to review this book for the author. I had the audio version of it. I listened to on my way back home from Missouri. This story is about Jayne and Phillip. It had my attention without the whole book. This books in the Juniper Court series. And can be read as a stand-alone. Both Jayne and Phillip wants to spice up their love life. Can they put the spice back into their love life? You'll have to read this one to find out. This is a short, fun, sexy story that I really enjoyed reading. This is MUST READ! Keep up the great job. I can't wait to read more from you. I definitely going back and reading the other books in this series.

Good Listen

Every now and then all relationships need a little kick. Meet the Millers, who make getting a kick in their relationship a competition and what a competition it is. There will be no winner because they both benefit from their hot encounters and almost lead to arrests. Good Narration. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

An engaging story peppered with fun times

At 2.5 hours, there is not much time to delve deeper into plot points yet Relationship Resuscitation offers a complete story. Written from the character Jayne Miller’s point of view, we are taken on a journey as she recounts her life from when she and Phillip first meet, right up to the current day. Their life is interesting, and interspersing the more serious times, there is plenty of humour both from our couple as well as the people that surround them. My one small complaint about the story is that their life did seem too good to be true at times. Everything seemed to fall into place quite effortlessly and the challenges seemed to be little more than blips. Even if the story does push the bounds of reality, it was refreshing to listen to a story about a couple well past the first flush of youth.

M Capehart does an excellent job in narrating this book. I really enjoyed the tone, pacing and her ability to bring the characters to life. This was the first time I had listened to a narration by M Capehart and I would definitely listen to her again.

This is both a teaching and an entertainment book.

This book centers around a married couple through their long years together and how they keep their love for each other fresh and interesting. It also shares some of their friends more shocking attempts for the same.
I thought this very positive book not only helpful, but tastefully done.

Sweet and Entertaining!

This is my first book in the Juniper Court Series as well as my first Jennifer Theriot book. This short story had a unique, yet realistic, plot about an ordinary couple wanting to spice up their sex life. I found the story to be fun and enjoyable, with Jayne and Phillip being relatable in the fact that I am around their age and have been married about the same length of time. It was fun to see the many ways they went about spicing things up. The only thing that would have been better would have been if the story was longer but, overall, it was very good. M. Capehart did a good job narrating the story. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Loved this audible

Jennifer Theriot’s Juniper Creek Audio book is a 5 star listen for me. I feel like I connected with the couple because they had been together for a long time and our daily lives do get in the way of keeping the relationship alive at times. I was laughing out loud when they stayed at the hotel…pure genius right there. I would have died if that happened to me. The narrator did a great job bringing Jayne’s voice to life. Now I am off to get the scoop on the other homeowners in this series, which are written by other authors. Talk about a collaboration!

My Thoughts on Relationship Resuscitation

What I liked: The overall story and what it was about. The main characters. It was an enjoyable story I was happy to listen to. I feel like the plot was a good one, especially for those couples who have been together for many years and/or are of a more advanced again. Even in my 30's I found it relatable.

What I liked not as much: Some of the dialog was a little much for me. I don't really know any 50 year olds who say wifey or other terms like that in their day to day life. I would hear things like that and it would just pull me out of the story just a little bit because it came across a bit like trying too hard.

The narration: I feel like the narrator was really well suited for this story. She didn't sound overly young and other than some of the things the writing required her to say, I felt she was believable as a woman in her mid to late 40's. She certainly wasn't boring to listen to which I really appreciated. She didn't have a great male character voice, but it wasn't bad either.
