Publisher's Summary

Some heroes aren't born... they're built.
Westley Worthington has it all. Piles of money, good looks, a head for business, and a seemingly limitless supply of women who want to please him. And that's just the way he likes it. Until a brush with death causes him to rethink his priorities, and consider someone besides himself for the first time in his privileged life.
Cordelia Cross has never had it easy. Her duty to her family has her working as an assistant to a man she hates just to pay her sister's medical bills. When her arrogant boss alienates his last true friend, she finds herself promoted from schedule-managing coffee grabber to the newest member of West's inner circle.
Tempers and passions ignite as the two start spending time together, until a shocking accident puts their newfound attraction on ice. When West is faced with the toughest trial of his life, Cordelia helps him realize that he has all the tools he needs to be a force for justice.
Together they must turn West into the hero no one ever thought he could be.

Surprised and Impressed!

I love it when a story not only meets my expectations, but exceeds it, and Tasha and Mason both far out exceeded any expectations I had on Reconstructed, book one in the Building a Hero series. The story and performance were both entertaining and refreshing.

This audiobook is a little under five hours long but was well written, moved at a steady pace and had very convincing characters. Each scene and chapter evolved naturally, and was not forced. While there is some action in the story, the main focus is developing the characters, and building up the plot.

In the beginning of the story, we are introduced to the main characters while at a private party West is throwing. He has requested for his personal assistant, Cornelia, to set up this party, to bring over a group of ballerina's to have fun, and sex with because hey it's on his bucket list. A picture is quickly painted on the type of man West is by how he takes advantage, and treats his assistants along with everyone else. He's arrogant and has an big ego because he's rich, and he can buy his way in life.

Cornelia needing the money to help support her family, works for West, and is really good at her job, but for her it's not all about the money, she honestly cares about West.

As the story progress, we witness a miracle! West slowly starts to change they way he thinks and reacts to the world; however, this is not an overnight process. Some of these changes are brought on by his feelings for Cornelia, as he starts to mold her and gives her a more active role in the business. Also, he starts to change due to his failed friendships and his passion for his company. It was entertaining and sometimes funny watching him grow, from a all around jerk to someone you could be proud of. West and Cornelia started reminding me of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts from Iron Man.

I really loved the plot, and how West and Cornelia's relationship developed, but it was Mason's performance that really brought the story and characters to life. He projected the right amount of emotions into the characters, and you could easily hear the arrogance in West's voice and the hopefulness in Cornelia's.

This was a great story, and I will definitely be recommending it my friends! (I'm a big fan of whispersync deals and right now the kindle version and audiobook is at a great price. I would certainly buy it now before the price changes in Kindle. Who doesn't love a good sale.)

Building a Hero

Not sure what the book was really about even when I read the description lol. But my guess that it's about the guy Westley being a hero and falling in love with Cordelia. Even though Wes is stubborn he learn to be nice to Cordelia and her siblings and save the kid Shawn from the bad guy (mind you I don't even remember the guy name). It's not even a bad thing cause I don't care to remember lol. But end the end the book is actually good. I can't wait to check out book two. This my first time hearing about this author and reading her book. I thought the book was about a man being some type of animal or maybe a guy with like armor body. But I guess Wes accident was similar to my guess.

P. S.

THE TITLE REMINDS ME OF THE MOVIE "How To Build a Better boy'
