Publisher's summary

She's the one woman I'd give anything to forget - and now, I'm stuck living with her.

I'm making a fresh start in Lake Tahoe, until my stubborn sister decides to move Mira into our cabin. I'll be damned if I move out on Mira's account.

Nothing has changed in the years since I last saw Mira. Her tempting body and smart mouth taunt me daily. The only hope I have at keeping my sanity is the knowledge that Mira is hiding something.

Sooner or later, I'll discover her secret, and knowing her, it'll be damning. But first, I have to ignore the urge to kiss and touch and make Mira mine again.

Excerpt:

I grab her waist, guiding her back against the shelves.

She kisses my cheekbone, nibbles my earlobe. "We can't do this here."

That nibble shoots straight to my groin. "I beg to differ. I think we can manage."

Once the walls come down, emotions run hot. Grab Never Date Your Ex, a humorous, steamy, second-chance romance!

Meh.

in my opinion, zach webber could read a phone book and I'd be interested but the female narrator of this book was AWFUL!!!! I had to struggle to even finish it.

Boring

DNF @ 50%

I usually dont rate books I DNF, but I want a reminder that this one was truly bad. Not even my fav narrator saved it.

I HATE stories where the core of the plot is miscommunication and EVERYTHING can be fixed with a single CONVERSATION.

I find authors who do this just lazy. So, pass!

Hard listen for me!

Just not into the female narration. Didn't sound believable to me. And the story wasn't that great. Overall, really not that good.

Another great book from Jules!

Great book but “Miras” narrated voice was hard to listen to. CJ seems over the top and her version of then men’s voices are cringe worthy. Had I not read previous books with Cali and Gen knowing the back story, I wouldn’t have finished. I hate to be rude but it was hard to listen to the forced expressions.

cute story but

I like the rekindling romance plot but there was way too much repetition about emotional conflicts that allegedly kept them apart... after a while zzzz Naking me want to say "get over and on with it already!"

Also the casino and bad guy aspect peaks curiosity but WAY too many threads left, leaving me dissatisfied.

Finally, the female narrator has a sweet female voice for the main character but makes all other characters sound like the wicked witch of the west. Male, female, young, old didn't matter all sounded like someone should throw a bucket of water on her...ugh annoying.

Female narrator ruined book for me

If it weren’t for Zachary Webber’s readings I would have stopped this book in the first chapter. CJ Bloom’s narrative was painful to listen to. I couldn’t tell when the character was thinking or talking. She yelled and spoke in non relative tones to the story. I actually skipped through some parts out of frustration.

Love it!

I love how we got to hear Tyler's POV . With some action and sexy time makes it the best so far..

EX's

Mira really grew on me. I really didn't like her at first. But after this book I've gotten to see a while different side of her. She is really a survivor and scrappy. She has been only been trying to hold on to what she had all this time and she had been scared about her feelings for Gens brother Tyler.
I knew that there had to be a back story between Mira and Tyler. The way he was so aloof towards her in the last book and how sure he was that he knew where he'd find her when she went missing.
Zachary Webber and CJ Bloom dud an excellent job on the narration of this book.

3⭐️s

There is a lot of action in this book, but a lot of the drama between the two MCs is contrived. Mira is an annoying character, and Tyler spends a lot of the book being a major jerk. I understand he was hurt, but he is the typical playboy, while she’s the girl who hasn’t been with anyone but him. Bleh. Narrators do a decent job, but Mira’s character again comes off as annoying. Worth finishing but not a second listen.

Enjoying the series

I’m really enjoying this series! I’m glad to hear what is going on with Tyler finally. He and Mira have had some sad past experiences which have greatly affected them and while some of their choices don’t seem to make sense and you think “why can’t they just talk?!!!” Its super realistic. Fear and anxieties can be so paralyzing and I really like how the author shows that through the characters. I’m a huge fan of Abby Jimenez and this author has a lot of the same qualities that drew me to AJ so I’m glad to have found her!
