Had potential

This second chance story had potential. I loved the performance, both did a good job. However, I didn’t like the main characters. Both seemed to be immature when all they needed to do was communicate. If this was truly the love of your life, communication was key. I seen this often. I’m not sure why the writers would leave this out and then drag the story to where the reader just get bored. All in all, it was worth the listen and I would recommend it. Just because I didn’t like the story it didn’t mean the writing was bad. That’s the reason I didn’t give low rating.

Ready for You

Storyline was pretty good but I was getting really exasperated with the female lead going back and forth. Dragging out the truth with half truths over a long period of time does not make the “secrets” go away…just makes them bigger and more important when they come out.

Eight years is a long time to never move on…..

One of my new favorite authors

I recently discovered this author through the romance package and I can’t get enough! The stories have several twists that keep you guessing. You know it’s going to all work out in the end but the process of getting there is a world I can’t get enough of!

A very realistic work.

This writer captures the essence of real life families and relationships. very good writing. I throughly enjoyed the book.

I liked it

It was a enjoyable story. There were moments where the couple seemed very high school, with the two of them jumping to conclusions and what not. But overall it was good. Would give more 3.5/5

Good but hated Garret

I just think he was weak. He had no pride I understand its a romance but he could of move on and then go back to her but being on standby waiting I just hate it

lost love returned

Garrett was heartbroken when Mia his high school sweetheart ran away the night of graduation leaving him a terrible goodbye note. He became a workaholic. His family worried about him.
Eight years later Mia came back to Richmond out of the blue staying with her friend Liv. A chance encounter at a flea market put them back in each other's lives.
Could either one forgive the other for their past? could they get past the hurt Mia caused. Garrett?
Throughout the story more and more secrets come out that they will have to deal with and learn to not only forgive, but move on from if they are ever going to be able to have a future.

Loved This Book

This was such a beautiful and emotional second chance story. I can hardly put into words the feelings this story brought out. Through the heart breaking choices and dramatic discoveries, I was fully immersed in each moment. JL Berg writes in such a way you can't help but become part of the story.
The narrators used for this book were amazing. Both are new to me, and they fit the characters perfectly, bringing life into Mia and Garrett.
I highly recommend both the book and the audio.
