Publisher's summary

Disgraced cop Henrik Vance is having a shit year. Banished to a derelict undercover squad, he's been tasked with hunting down the daughter of Chicago's most dangerous criminal. His obsession with saving the beautiful girl destroyed his career. And this time, it might cost his life.

Ailish O'Kelly doesn't need a hero. She'll save herself from her father's violent criminal dynasty, thank you very much. Unfortunately, the sexy as sin cop who crashes her hideout isn't hearing reason - especially not after the kiss that becomes much more.

His boss wants her as an informant. Ailish wants Henrik to keep whispering filthy things against her skin. But she knows too well the evil they're up against, and when it comes down to protecting the man who owns her body and soul, she only has one choice....

Each book in the Crossing the Lines series is a standalone, full-length story that can be enjoyed out of order.

THIS STORY WAS SO FREAKING HOT!

I got to say this had to be one of the hottest books I've ever listened to (or read!). The story was great, the speaker did a wonderful job, and I especially loved the relationship between the two main characters. It was surprisingly authentic, which is probably why I loved this book so much! And let me not forget to mention how hot the sex scenes were. It was so dirty and filthy, I loved every second of it. From this single book, Tessa is now one of my favorite authors!

Disapointing, especially for the series finale

Underdeveloped plot, veteran characters barely utilized, hurried ending. The main couple couldn't be any weaker: a veteran cop who compromises it all after a 30 sec. meeting with a stranger. She, a spoiled and selfish nymphomaniac that is even more annoying when the narrator uses her strident voice to portray her. I doubt I would have read the whole series if this was its first book.

Interesting and cliche!

A police officer becomes obsessed with a young lady after a 30 second interaction with her and then throws away his career is the basis for this book. The officer seems to always be pissed off and talks through clinched teeth. The young lady spends most of the story acting like a spoiled brat who gets petty when she doesn't get her own way.

Of the series, these were my least favorite characters. Both are overly self-involved and are set off by the most idiotic things. The series is meant to be erotica but often times the dialog is ridiculous as it focuses on what the male characters are willing to do to stay buried inside their women's genitalia.

The reader is very well spoken and clearly can tell a story. She is hard to listen to, at times, as she talks through gritted teeth to demonstrate the angst of the male character or gets really loud and elevated pitch when the female character is highly aroused.

The series is entertaining overall but I hope Tess improves the dialog and cuts back on the overly possessive male characters.

excellent end to a fantastic series

I really didn't want this series to end, it was fast paced, sexy, fun, and the storyline and characters were well thought out the narrator was top notch wish the author would bring more people into the squad!

Love at first sight, really?

It’s hard to fathom the character, Henrik , sacrificed his career over an encounter with a woman that lasted, what 10 seconds? I found Ailish’s naive belief she was capable of escaping from her father with no real survival skills not plausible. And the situations in which Ailish and Henrik chose to get busy - in her father’s home on several occasions that were not too smart considering the location. I found myself annoyed too many times with these two characters.

Cringe

I think this is my first one start book review. It is cringey and the male character was giving pedophile.
