Publisher's summary

All my life, I battled with the knowledge I was twisted...screwed up to want something so deliciously dark - wrong on so many levels. But then slave 58 entered my world. Hissing, fighting, with a core of iron, she showed me an existence where two wrongs do make a right.

Tess is Q's completely. Q is Tess's irrevocably. But now, they must learn the boundaries of their unconventional relationship, while Tess seeks vengeance on the men who sold her. Q made a blood-oath to deliver their corpses at Tess's feet, and that's just what he'll do.

He may be a monster, but he's Tess's monster.

Mind Blown! Dark, Explicit, Captivating story. Loved It!

I wasn't sure how well I was going to like this book, but, the author pulled me in, as did the narrators.

This book is not for the meek or faint of heart... it's explicit and dark. But, so intricate and so well written. The events unfold with great detail and description, that I kept listening even though I found myself cringing at times.

This was a binge listen for me... I had to find out where these characters were headed and how they would end up.

I was moved to tears at times, so when a story can evoke real emotion in me, keep me involved and actually feel what the characters are going through, that's a good read in my opinion!

I would encourage you to take a chance on this book, hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

I gave it 5 stars all the way!

LAWDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Quintessentially Q to be better than the print version?

I didn't read the original- only listened to the audio version

What did you like best about this story?

The narration was beyond great- it bought the story to life. It was like watching a movie...in my brain, lol!

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

O-M-G! First of all- the story IS amazing...BUT...the narration...DUDE...this audiobook has the BEST, BEST, BEST, did I say BEST?...BEST narration ever! Jacob Morgan...oh my! His voice is beauty...it's melody...it's that hot chocolate on a snowy day when coffee just won't do it. His voice is the epitome of YUM! Hannah Belle- GEEZ! She IS Tess...she made you feel like you were going through the horror right along with her. Even though I knew there was another book, I actually had to skip to the end then come back just to finish the book. Both of these actors are beyond talented. Anyway, the narration was amazing because the story was SO SO SO SO SO GOOD!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Uhm...double YES!!

Any additional comments?

I just hope the next audiobook doesn't take 3 YEARS to come out like this one.

Pepper does't give you a reprieve

Just when you think a book can't get any better...it doses. When most writhers would give you a reprieve Pepper digs deeper. I felt so RAW after I listened to this story. I loved this book but also hated it....it's that good. The story takes you on a rollercoaster emotional trip. PLEASE Audible I need book 3 and 3.5 NOW!!

I need more stars

Although I have read this book, I still wanted to experience it on audio and I'm so glad I did. There are not really words to adequately describe what happens to you while you listen to this story. No, it's not for everyone. I'm pretty sure I have about 20 people in my life that couldn't handle the depravity or the desperation that this book holds within its pages and audio. But if you can take it, the listen is far above what you have ever heard before.

This isn't a stand alone, you need to read book 1 in order to understand this book but they are equally as awesome, so you won't regret using credits on both.

I'm not going to get into the plot because I think it's better not knowing what to expect, because there are a lot of wtf moments where you will be confused as to what will happen and not only that, but what do you as the reader want to happen? It's not black and white in this book and the things you end up wishing to happen might go against your basic moral compass.

I will listen to this book over and over again. I can't wait for the rest of the series to be released. The narration is absolutely amazing. I loathe duet narration but Hannah Belle and Jacob Morgan made it flawless and easy to listen. Jacob with his French accent... omg. It warmed my cockles in places and it gave me chills in places. I am addicted!!

You just don't know what to expect with a Pepper Winters novel, but from start to end you will be captivated

In this second book of the Monsters in the Dark series we get to find out just how far Tess can be pushed before she breaks, just how far Q is willing to go to save her. I was so sad that Q and Tess were only reunited for a short time before she was kidnapped. My heart broke into pieces for both of them and all that they had to endure. It definitely was not what I was expecting that's for sure. That is what I LOVE about Pepper Winters, you NEVER know what to expect next. Twists and turns are what she does best! The narration for this series is perfect!!!! I can't wait until book 3 is out in audio and I especially can't wait for Q and Tess's HEA.

A light in the darkness

Would you consider the audio edition of Quintessentially Q to be better than the print version?

Yes! The duet narration makes it unbelievably and amazingly more complex and entertaining.

What did you like best about this story?

The fact that it is two people who find themselves together but still searching for redemption in their own way

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't but they have quickly become two of my top favorite narrators. I will look for their other narrations in the future.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book will take you to the brink, rip you apart and walk you through being put back together piece by piece.

Any additional comments?

The journey of these characters is unbelievable heart wrenching but addictive to be apart of. This is such a dramatic romance, filled with hurt, love and two of the most complex and interesting characters as they journey to find their way together, apart, and how to fit into each other in a way that they both need. It's worth the journey, and the credit. I was given this audiobook for free from third parties representing the publisher for my unbiased review.

Swooning over Q

Q is a dark and dreamy alpha male while Tess is an extremely strong female making for a story I couldn’t stop reading and listening to. I effortlessly went back and forth between kindle and audible to keep the story going because I couldn’t get enough. I am disappointed that the next book doesn’t have an audio book but highly recommend Pepper Winters and this series.
