Publisher's summary

Lily LeBlanc isn't versed in the art of casual sex, but after seven years in an on-again, off-again relationship, she's definitely willing to give it a shot. And who better to try it with than her best friend's boyfriend's best friend? What could possibly go wrong?

NHL player Randy Ballistic lives up to his last name on the ice and in the bedroom. His best friend and teammate has recently given up the puck bunnies and traded them in for a real girlfriend. And she just happens to have a seriously feisty, extra-hot best friend on the rebound. Randy's more than happy to be Lily's springboard back into the dating scene. But casual sex is only casual until those pesky things called emotions get involved. Once that happens, someone's bound to get pucked over.

Violet

Violet in the first and second book was absolutely hilarious!! In this book she is made out to be a super annoying dumb bimbo instead of her usual chill hilarious self. I could barely handle listening to some of her parts. She was my fav in the first two books so that was disappointing.

Jacob Morgan doing that sex scenes was SO SEXY!

I find it's really important for the voices to be pleasant to listen to even if I adore the story as much as I adore this one. When I got to the first time Jacob Morgan was reading a sexual scene I was "engaged" fully with the narration. The girl was great, though not as fun as book 1's female narrator, but Jacob Morgan has just knocked Sebastian York to my 2nd favorite male narrator. Fantastic!

Part 3, Awesome Good!!!

There are some spoilers.

I wanted to rate the girl narrator performance a 3 to 4.

But anyways this book was actually good it wasn't as hilarious as book 1 or funny as book 2, but it was too good to put down that's for sure. I knew that Randy and Lily was going to end up together in the end because they both were catching feelings for each other, especially how he was acting. With her around Alex and Benji and Carl or whatever, that fool name was.

Plus the end I thought for sure she wasn't going to end up pregnant lmao. When they didn't use a condom I was dying when Tim-Tom knocked on the door. Mess reminded me of Twilight scene with Bella and Edward with the bed situation and some other book I read where the guy actually broke the bed. I forgot what the book was called.

But I'm glad Randy found someone. Can't wait to read part 4, 4.1, and 4.5. I know it's going to be epic.

P. S. I was also glad that Randy let her give his pecker a lick. And liked it and got with someone who didn't judge how he pecker looked.

B rating...

My Quickie Review:
Overall: 3.75
Performance: 4.0
Story: 3.5

I think I've reached the end of this series for my interest. Overall, I enjoyed this audio of the story, but there wasn't anything amazing about the story. At one point, I even thought the dialogue between the women hit such shallow, silly lengths that they could have easily been a group of puck bunnies that they are so often making fun of. I almost stopped listening to this one at that point, but I plugged on.

This story was about Randy...one of the NHL players who has been a player in every sense of the word. The heroine was Lilly who is best known for how awful she treated the hero in the last book. They have a long distance relationship for 90% of this book...only getting together for sex every few weeks based upon the movement of the team. It's supposed to be no-strings fun. The kind Lilly needs after breaking up with her long-time boyfriend. Randy is her rebound and they are both really good with that.

It was entertaining enough...just nothing astonishingly good or engaging. It passed the time, but not much more. As a result, I think I'll probably pass on listening to the rest of this series. I'm done with it.

✫✫ 4 Stars ✫✫

I really liked Randy & Lily's book. They have a great relationship considering it is just for fun! These two are seriously hot and they have a lot less drama than the last couple. I like that this "player" knew that he had to put his player ways on hold for Lily even if it was just something they were doing until it wasn't fun anymore ;) None of the other books compare to book 1 for me but this one was a great book, just not hilarious like the 1st one ;) I enjoyed this narrator a lot too!

I love Randy and Lily!

Overall 5 stars
Performance 4.5 stars
Story 4.5 stars

I loved Randy and Lily's story! I both listened and read this one and I think they are my favorite Pucked couple so far. I couldn't wait for their story after Pucked Up and knew the sparks would fly when these two got together. They had incredible chemistry and listening to their story unfold on audio only amplified their connection. I found their fears and concerns very relatable, especially Lily's. Even though she is about the same age as Sunny (the heroine in Pucked Up and Lily's BFF), I found her much more mature. Yes, things start off between Randy and Lily because of their physical attraction, but it was so beautiful how they gradually shifted into something more tender and sweet. I loved how they each saw themselves as broken or flawed, but to the other they couldn't be more perfect. They had fantastic banter and lots of cheeky innuendo, which helped lighten the story while also adding to the sexual tension. Randy and Lily complemented each other very well. Sure there are missteps along the way, but they made sense considering each character's history. I appreciated that the drama resolved almost as quickly as it appeared and wasn't drawn out.

I really enjoyed the narration by Jacob Morgan (swoon) and Rose Dioro. They both did a wonderful job overall with this friends with benefits romance, but I did feel that there were times their tone didn't quite match the emotion of the scene. I also liked checking in with Alex, Violet, Miller, and Sunny again, but I will admit that it's Lance who has me most intrigued. I can't wait to continue on with the series!

Disappointed!

I enjoyed Alex and Violet's story in the first book, but Violet in this story was just a ridiculous, selfish, mean girl! No class! Iris and Randy were not that interesting and the story was not helped by the female narrator! Her breathy, slow delivery was boring and annoying! I adore Jacob Morgan, but not even his talent could save this story for me! This is where I leave this series. I haven't ever given a review like this, I'm sad to do it, but it needed to be said.

Pucked Over

I listened to the first two books at the end of last year and I enjoyed the world the author created but I just didn’t love the series like I thought I would. So I gave it some time and I came back to it. I am so very glad I did because I loved this book. Lily and Randy are my favorite couple so far. I mean Vi was pretty great but something about Lily I just connected with.

I really enjoyed all the characters and how they don’t get jumbled together like some books can if there are just too many characters. When they are together as a group your never confused as to who is with who, or who is talking I really enjoyed that because I like when the teammates and their girlfriends are all together it makes for a well-rounded story.

Randy’s insecurities makes him human to me, most romance characters are too perfect I like when they have things they are not happy about. I don’t want to read perfect cookie cutter characters. But I don’t like a lot of drama-llama either. So it really is a great balance.

I loved the narration I think it was exactly right for these characters. What I didn’t love was you could tell when they cut things out, it wasn’t a seamless audiobook. Sometimes it was downright choppy.

Fantastic continuation

Third book in the series (on Audible, I think in the book series there is a .5 in there somewhere) and it follows Randy and Lilly. Randy is a hockey player who doesn't want to turn out like his dead beat dad and Lilly is an ice skater who wasn't able to live her dreams because of her own dead beat dad.

Both battle the situation differently and go into a casual relationship for different reasons but end up finally in the same place.

I love Lilly, she is so sarcastic but then explains the sarcasm like she is so clever, no one else would understand. Cracked me up.

Randy is so super serious but the tatts and the beard and the highly sensitive personality won me over.

I loved that we got visits with the other Pucked characters and I sooooo want a Lance book. Like yesterday with that accent.

Rose Dioro and Jacob Morgan were great narrators! Rose was perfect with her Canadian accent and Jacob had the tortured soul angst down pact.

Too silly

I enjoyed the first book but maybe this is just too silly. All the silly names for the private parts- magic marble, beaver. Wood. Just too juvenile for me
