Enjoyed it ....but a bit of a reheat

I enjoyed Princess... but it was pretty much a reheat of The Pirate Prince. Different characters....same basic progression of the romance.....although this romance caught fire much quicker. But still...love me ... missunderstand.... leave me....hate me...love me again.

It got my attention really quick and I did stay interested the whole time.

It was pretty hot...definitely R rated.

wounded warrior

I enjoyed the book but by the time I was 75% through I was tired of hearing how the hero was not good enough because of his terrible child hood and his brutal way of making a living. Then the ending drew me right back in. When the heroine finally stopped being scared and took control.

Best in the Series

I really enjoyed this story. And truly no one writes a love scene as beautifully as Gaelen Foley. As in the first book, I found myself disappointed with narrator's male voices and accents - very distracting -- but her reading/acting is done well and not a reason to pass this by. The story line was full of highs and lows for this star-crossed pair and Darius' love for Serafina was heart-breaking.

Very romantic

Any additional comments?

This is a well written book with an interesting plot and engaging characters. In my opinion a bit more editing would have made it a five star story - I found it a bit repetitious. The narrator was good but could have been better.

I will most probably listen to it again in a few months, but I will be fast forwarding through some parts.

There is some steamy sex. I put this in my review as information for listeners who like or don't like this kind of book.

strange narration errors

I really enjoyed the story it self... It was really irritating that the narrator continually throughout the story call the female character he when he should have said she...it was distracting..

Once again a winning team

Once again I became engrossed in Foley's quality writing and Wiley's superb performance. I believe I enjoyed this story more than the first. I think there was less high mindedness and self suffering in the hero this time. Never one to be a spoiler I won't comment further on the actual events, but these two characters are my favorites so far. I actually listened twice. Again Wiley does an excellent job with both male and female voices and her Italian accents are top of the line! I am a little wary of the third story, I see there is a different narrator, but we will see. In the meantime, this one is definitely worth a credit!

Beautifully written!

Gaelen Foley writes absolutely beautifully and tell the most exciting stories. Her ability to describe the scenes, feelings, facial expressions, and tastes and scents, makes me feel like I am a character inside the story, experiencing everything. I read this story years ago and it was so nice to re-experience the whole thing only listening this time, especially the steamy love scenes! I highly recommend this book and any by this author!
