Publisher's summary

I am the good girl, the one who does no wrong. Daughter of a ferocious and strong MC president, I know what protection feels like. Until one night changes everything - and not a single person in the world can protect me from it, not even my dad.

Suffocating. Alone. Desperate.

I let my problems live deep inside until there is no longer anywhere to run. I need an escape. Anything to make the pain go away. Trouble comes for me, and I don't fight it. I tried so hard to believe in what I was, but nobody understood.

Not until him. Not until Lucas. He sees me. He believes in me. He refuses to let me drown. He's my way out. My escape.

But Lucas is forbidden. He's a cop. I'm in danger. And my father is trying to protect what can't be protected. There can only be one outcome. Pandemonium.

MISERY LOVES COMPANY!

This isn't your typical dark, gritty, raw MC, but rather a story of two characters from different walks of life, one the daughter of an MC president, the other a detective. Bella draws the reader into a world where grief swallows and consumes the H/h. Their paths cross, intertwined, and these characters find comfort in each other. The suspense is built by giving little details along the way and alternating between "then" and "now." Lukas, a detective, has suffered and faced one of the worst nightmares any parent could go through. We follow his character as he tries to move on, and we learn bits about his past as he searches for answers regarding his wife. He suspects the MC knows more than what they are revealing, and he relentlessly questions them. He's been nicknamed the Shadow because he is always lurking in the shadows searching for clues.

Ava found herself in her own worst nightmare. She was forced to make a decision, a decision no one should ever have to make, and one few can live with. As soon as she makes the decision, she regrets it, tries to take it back, but it's too late, the damage has already been done. When Lukas finds Ava scared, broken, and battered, he knows she is going to change his life, but at the same time, he knows he needs to help pull her out of her own misery before it takes her under. Their paths cross, intertwined, and create surprising plot twist.

Bella Jewel keeps the reader in suspense while she weaves the tale of Lukas and delivers some heart pounding moments as Ava faces a monster, a monster who is determine to ruin the MC's president. I liked the relationship between Lukas and Ava wasn't instant, and was developed, but the sexual tension and chemistry between them was on the milder side. There were a few hot and steamy sex scenes, but the angst, drama and suspense is the driving force in this story. Overall, I enjoyed Pandemonium, but I'm getting really burned out on stories about 20 something year old virgins giving it up after only know the character a few days.

Both Vikas Adams and Carly Robins did a great job on the narration. I felt all the emotions and the characters were easy to distinguish between.

Overall, a really good story, not too dark! It's a great whispersync deal! Had the plot been more intense, and the chemistry between the characters more developed, I would have given it five stars.

Emotional, Tender, Raw.

I was hesitant to get this book, based on some negative reviews, but I am so glad I did!
I was completely involved emotionally with both main characters...(cried a few times!!)
I've listened to other Bella Jewel MC books and I have to say that this one is much more emotional than a typical MC book. (In fact, the MC stuff is pretty much background) Nonetheless, I absolutely LOVED this book.
Narration was good... Carly does sorta get loud at times, even a little whiny/annoying... but I still listen to books narrated by her, and if they're good, it doesn't matter.
This was my first by Vikas, and I was not a fan in the beginning, but was shortly after the characters developed.
Worth a credit in my opinion.

Don't waste the credit!!!!

Would you ever listen to anything by Bella Jewel again?

Yes

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Vikas Adam and Carly Robins ?

Almost anyone. Sebastian York and Andi Arndt would be great.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Pandemonium?

Their voices just didn't sound right for a MC.

Great read

Nice flow of the story line especially with the flash backs which appeared where they needed to be . Great characters could not put this book sown.

Surprise!

This book is an erotic romance with drugs and violence.

Surprised was not even close. This book is nothing like her others, it was good but a dark turn to a world of drugs.

Lucas a police officer of the law has a past that involves a guilt of not being able to save those he loves. after the death of his daughter from his first wife, the grief takes them both down a road that will tear them apart. His second wife to drugs and him on revenge because of the lose of his wife to that addiction. He has no love for those harboring her, that includes the MC club that started her addiction.

Ava the daughter of an MC president and the "good girl", the one who seems to make all the right choices, until she is kidnapped, tortured and witness to the worse nightmare a human can make, choosing the life of a stranger or yourself. Once her decision was made the regret and guilt came to play tangling her in a mess that lead her down the road to addiction. Only one man can stop her but is he strong enough to let go of his past for him to have a future with Ava. Can Ava overcome the choice she made and heal enough to make a life with Lucas.

I found a new author....

Glad I downloaded this book from audible escape. I love MC stories and this one did not disappoint! Such tragedy that ends with two souls coming together for love and healing each other along the way.
Well I'm off to listen to the second book.
This story is def worth a listen.
