If you hated your life and wanted to prove to the world that you could change, how would you do it?
I had a plan. I also had no family, no friends, and definitely no jerk of an ex-boyfriend who thought I was boring.
I was tired of being me.
In Vegas I could be anything.
And then I saw him.
His hungry smile wanted a taste of the new me.
Only a boring person would have said no.
It was reckless to follow a stranger to his bed. Dangerous to take the drink he handed me. I thought the worst regret I'd have would be a hangover, a walk of shame through the hotel.
Except I didn't wake up in the hotel.
Or in Vegas.
I doubt my face will end up in the news. "Woman missing," the headline would say. "A stupid person who thought she could be someone else."
I'm not someone else. I was only playing pretend.
Too bad he was playing for keeps.
Author's note: This is a dark romance novel. It contains themes of violence and mature situations that could make readers uncomfortable.

I liked it....
This was good...but dark... I guess... I mean he did kidnap her... so.... IDK...
I really didn't like the female lead... she was just so... IDK... boring... lol... I mean she goes to vegas to prove to who? No one that she isn't boring when her boyfriend who owns a food stand breaks up with her and fires her at the same time...
There she meets the male lead...he is rich, smart, sexy but dangerous... he drugs her... kidnaps and what does she do...she is pissed because he is making her the perfect bride for someone else... Ummmmm... he kidnapped you... how about let's hate him on principle... he is a kidnapper...but nope... Our girl is mildly upset over this...but she shows real anger when she learns she will be the perfect bride for someone else...
Now saying that... the book redeems itself in the end... I enjoyed the Russian gang war (kinda) at the end...
Maybe not a re-read...but worth a buy or sale...
If nothing else is out there... go ahead and spend that credit... it is enjoyable...
Narration was pretty darn good... Very relaxing voice...

The narrator was pretty good. I don’t really like switching between male and female narrators so I enjoyed the consistency of this narrator doing both characters. The male voice was well done.
I really disliked the storyline at first. I was revolted by the idea of a woman being treated like that and couldn’t figure out how the author would pull off making me like the Male character. Almost returned the book. Then I was so curious as to how she would turn this into an HEA that I had to finish. I have to say that she pulled me in and I could kind of forgive him for his early treatment of Celeste. I’m still shaking my over that. The Sex is graphic and as the summary warns it’s a dark romance.
