Publisher's Summary

Enter Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series with this short story previously published in the Death's Excellent Vacation anthology.
Vampires Cat Crawford and her husband Bones's romantic vacation is interrupted when they're enlisted to guard a spoiled heiress with both human and undead hitmen on her tail. Things quickly go from bad to worse when details of their assignment make their way through the supernatural grapevine, and what started as a simple bodyguard job ends up being a fight for survival that neither Cat nor Bones saw coming.

4 Money Stars

I have come to realize I love anything Bones and Cat, and this short story is no different.

The narrator changed for this one, and that’s ok but I am just so used to Tavia Gilbert version of Cat and Bones that Amanda Ronconi threw me off a little. But that is not to say this wasn’t a good audio because if you don’t know Amanda Ronconi she does some stellar audios and she totally did justice to this book.

So this book is about helping a human girl and keeping her safe as a favor to Don. And Cat will pretty much do anything Don asks of her.

So this girl Tammy who is very forward in her like for Bones is also a pain in the butt, and Cat gets her mom Justina to help hide the girl.

And in doing so they decide to train Tammy a little in how to defend herself against a vampire, but Bones has ulterior motives he wants Justina to learn how to defend herself and he knew she wouldn’t willingly learn herself.

I love Bones even more than I did before is that even possible? Who knows but my heart just grew more for Bones.

Wrong narrator

Story was ok. Not her best. But to have a different narrator than Tavia Gilbert was so wrong. I love Amanda Roncini. She is the narrator for Molly Harper and does a great job. Using her just made an okay story just a little worse.
