Angela is a reporter at the very bottom of the ladder, she lives from hand to mouth, she's not sure she can even pay her rent this month. On the other hand Clive is a sexy billionaire who it appears can do no wrong.
Angela get's a chance to write a 5 piece series on him for The New York Times, she can't believe her luck. If the stories are good she will get a permanent position with them as a staffer. But will she be able to write an unbiased review? She thinks before meeting him that he has to be selfish and false.
The story that developed whilst the interviews were being done was really good and the way these two interact together was really great. I really enjoyed their developing relationship and I really wanted everything to work out for both of them.
A simple easy going short romance. Angela is a struggling writer looking for her big break. She gets a chance,to write a 5 part interview in Cline Davis a 30 yr old billionaire burn with a silver spoon in his mouth.
She isn't cowed by Clive and sparks his interest.
One POV by Angela...it really doesn't take long for them to consummate their relationship and then concerns arise.
The narrator wasn't exactly what I expected for a voice of Clive..but not bad...mediocre.
Not an incredible story but entertaining and wasn't a hardship to postman to...nice filler between more intense books.
I absolutely loved this story I thought it was wonderful. Angela is an out of work reporter down to her last few dollars when she scores the chance of a job at the New York Times. All she has to do is write a series of articles on a business Tycoon who is known to be very difficult to get the "real" truth out of. This sets her off on a path to a new career and the love of her life. It is beautifully written with a punchy kickass style that shows off Angela in a bold and endearing way. It shows the best of Clive the Tycoon as well, he is, despite all his genius and money a very emotionally vulnerable man. Angela brings out all the best traights in him. I don't always like the narrator when I listen to a story and that can ruin an otherwise good book for me. In this case the presenter is very good and I did enjoy his reading. His voice helped me slip into the subconscious space in my mind where all good stories go when I am happy with what I am hearing.
