This was a very unique story about a princess on the run for her life and a cowboy! It was different then anything I have read/listened so far. The story was short but very sweet. I would not have thought that a cowboy and a princess would have worked as well as It did.
The narration was well done and brought the story to life.
The characters were well developed for such a short story. It is a great start to a very unique series. The blend of rough and rugged cowboys with sophisticated wealthy princesses is unexpected but delightful. I'm looking forward to the next book in this sweet fairytales series.

An enjoyable novella about a princess who finds herself on a working ranch after an attempt on her life. I wasn't to certain at the beginning as some of the characters motivations and actions didn't appear to make much sense but am glad I hung in there. Although I knew this was a modern day fairytale it wasn't until the end that I really saw the parallel.
Although Lara Asmundson has a beautiful calm voice, I did not appreciate it so much in this setting. She reads the book very well but there is little inflection or pacing changes. There is little to no change in voices. I am pretty sure some of my confusion at the beginning was do to her rending.
