Publisher's summary

Jackson Steele and Sylvia Brooks continue to thrill in the second novel of a scintillating, emotionally charged new trilogy that returns to the world of J. Kenner's beloved Stark novels: Release Me, Claim Me, and Complete Me.

I never thought I'd lose control, but his desire took me right to the edge.

Powerful, ambitious, and devastatingly sexy, Jackson Steele was unlike any other man I'd ever known. He went after what he wanted with his whole mind, body, and soul - and I was the woman in his sights. One touch and I surrendered, one night together and I was undone.

Jackson and I had secrets, dark pieces of our pasts that threatened to swallow us both. We couldn't outrun our demons or the people trying to tear us apart. But in our passion we found salvation, and in each other's arms we found release.

I was scared to trust Jackson fully, to finally let go. Yet no matter the dangers that lay ahead, I knew I was his - and now that we've laid claim, there's no more holding back.

On My Knees is intended for mature audiences.

I COULD VISUALIZE EVERY POWERFUL CHAPTER

As Jackson and Sylvia's passionate and very sexual love affair continues they're thrust into one devastating drama after another as the never ending roller coaster that their lives have become spins out one terrible secret after another. And if it's not secrets it's insecurities, jealousy, the relationship and dynamics with Damien and, always at the forefront, are the mental and emotional scars that Sylvia is trying desperately to overcome. But how can you forget the horrors of the past when someone out there is determined to remind and taunt you with leaked explicit pictures that threaten to ruin your life.... or the life of the one you love.

J. Kenner has once again delivered a powerful, emotional and all-consuming book about two lovers who, even though they get their second chance at happiness, find fate isn't finished playing wicked games on them with heartbreaking consequences. There's buckets full of drama, plenty of sex including a box of tricks, revelations, shocks, tears and desperate pleas. Through it all the charismatic Jackson fights his temper and the love of Sylvia gives him the reason.... and eventually the means too to let his frustrations out. Their love, strength and support for each other comes pouring out Chapter after Chapter but sadly some things can't be fixed by love alone.

Worth a credit? Told mainly from Sylvia's POV but there are Chapters from Jackson, a very good narrator, a well written, enjoyable, hard hitting, romantic and descriptive plot that was unstoppable once I hit 'play' and an ending that left me begging for the next instalment is a very creditworthy listen. It also makes me want to go back and listen to The Stark Trilogies all over again because, as much as I love love love Jackson, I still think Damien tops my list.

good story but narrator was excruciatingly overdon

If you could sum up On My Knees in three words, what would they be?

Drama, heat emotional

What other book might you compare On My Knees to and why?

Beauty in pain

How could the performance have been better?

Almost every sentence was read with over the top drama. It became difficult, almost painful to listen to...I almost spent the 8.00 to get the print version because the audio was so overblown. Ugghh

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It would have been if I. Hadn't needed breaks from the narrator

Any additional comments?

I am looking forward to Under My Skin. Say My Name was excellent. A great writer but her words are totally sullied by this narrator

Expected More!

Good story line but slow to getting to the point. I wanted Sylvia to be more aggressive and strong, I was hoping throughout the story that it was going to get better but it didn't have the wow factor like the other Stark series books. Maybe I should have read the book instead.

Love this series

Can't wait for the next one to come out in September. I like the story lines built for the characters that stem from the story of Damien and Nikki.

Expected more

I love this offer so I really wanted to love this book. I have read the Damien Stark more than once so I was really looking forward to this Trilogy. I'm on book number two and I'm just not feeling it. It really has a lot of ups and downs at some points I'm like yes!! And others I just want to stop listening. I might like the book better if I read it myself instead of listening to the audio version. I feel like this narrator over dramatize everything it just got hard to listen to. I hope the third book is much better.

awesome story, awesome narration!

I I love the story by far much more than fifty Shades of Grey and crossfire its it's well narrated well written and it keeps you on your toes and feet Jackson steel Sylvia Brooke are the best book couple ever. I could not stop hearing the story non stop at work at home in the shower driving it was addictive erotic and well written. I cannot wait for September 1st to start listening to book 3 and the finale.
