Seeking revenge and found love

Ellie grew up with con artist parents who used her for a con and now she wants to get revenge upon a drug lord. As she becomes a con she alternates between the life of Ellie and Eden. Eden got involved with a bad man for revenge and fell in love with her mark.

Eden met twenty-three year old Javier a man who works as a consultant for Travis. Travis is the guy who ruined her childhood. Her revenge plan got sidetracked while she played house with Javier.

This was an instant connection Virgin romance where love started as a lie with a cold-blooded killer who is involved in the cartel.

Once upon a time Karina Halle rocked my world when she wrote Dirty Angels. This book sent me on a journey into Karina’s other books. I stumbled upon this one where it’s sat on my TBR list for years. When the audiobook became available I decided to give it a listen. Since I’m an eyes and ears person I invested in both. Veronica Den narrated this book giving voice to Ellie’s character. I’m grateful to Veronica for doing what I wouldn’t have wanted to do which was why this sat on my TBR list for so long. I’m not the intended audience for this type of storyline. The writing voice for Ellie’s character was mediocre. This was not my favorite book.

Javier ❤️

If you liked Sins & Needles then you must read this. You will understand the relationship between Ellie & Javier & why they are so co-dependent.
