Nights at Seaside by Addison Cole is the "sweet edition" of New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster's steamy romance novel Seaside Nights. The stories and characters remain the same, and convey all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or harsh language.
In Nights at Seaside...Sky Lacroux has finally realized her dream and opened her own tattoo shop in Provincetown, Massachusetts. She’s happy as can be, preparing the shop for its grand opening and renting a cottage in the Seaside community while renovations to her new apartment are being completed. The only thing missing is the one thing she longs for, and has no control over - love.
Sawyer Bass, a professional boxer, plays his guitar at a local bar to escape the painful reality of his father’s deteriorating health and a recent health warning of his own. But when he spots a stunning brunette across the room, escaping reality goes out the window, and the beautiful woman becomes the focus of his next song - and maybe even the rest of his life.
When Sawyer walks into Sky’s tattoo shop and sees the woman from the bar - Sky - the chemistry between them is instant. Sawyer is everything Sky could ever hope for in a man. He’s honest, loving, sensitive, and potently virile - but boxing goes against everything Sky believes in. The closer they become, the more she realizes that her alpha boxer is waging his own emotional battle - only the battle she thinks he’s waging isn’t the one that threatens to tear them apart.
All Sweet with Heat novels are written to stand alone, so dive right in!

Nights at Seaside
If you do not have the time to read this book then it is a must listen. This is a beautiful story. Melissa Moran does a wonderful job narrating this book.
Sky Lacroux believes in letting the universe guide you and what is meant to be, will be. After seeing all of her Seaside friends fall in love and get married over the last few years, she wonders when the universe will step in and find her the perfect man.
Sky is a tattoo artist who is very whimsical, artsie and loves poetry. She carries her favorite book of poems with her everywhere.
Sawyer Bass is a professional boxer, who relieves his stress by writing poetry and songs.
When Sky hears Sawyer sing for the first time and he looks up and sees her across the room, there is a deep connection.
Both Sky and Sawyer love and live for their families. Sky has a big heart and doesn’t believe in fighting. She finds it hard to except that boxing is a sport. Sawyer has one more fight, the title fight and if he wins this fight he will be able to provide, in home care, for his father that is suffering from Parkinson's disease, but Sawyer has been warned by doctors that one more blow to the head and he could suffer debilitating brain damage. Can Sky accept this and stand by his side?
Addison Cole writes a beautiful story of two people that would do anything for their families. Sky has such a beautiful heart and Sawyer is more poetic than any man has a right to be. Oh my, does the most beautiful things come from his heart. “You’ve turned my world around, Sky”. “I want everything with you. I want to make all your dreams come true, and I still don’t even know what they are.”
Come on the journey with Sky and Sawyer, I promise you, you will not regret it.

Definitely worth the listen!
A great story & a sweet romance.
This was the first story that I read/listened to in the series, and I didn't feel completely lost. It did give me the itch to read the others though.
Sky & Sawyer are both looking for something. And seem to find it in each other. They have to be able to get over their own personal hurdles to get to where they belong.
Listening to this story, brings the story to life and makes you truly feel the characters.
Loved the story! And looking forward to listening to the others.

We met Sky in Pete and Jenna's story, she is a free spirit glad to be back on the Cape. While on a night out with the Seaside ladies she gets her first glimpse of Sawyer Bass. He is a boxer and poet, loyal to his family. When they meet there is an instant attraction. They are drawn together by their love of poetry and the strong family bonds. When she learns of his fathers illness she begins to understand his need to box, even though she doesn't like it. When this threatens to tear them apart they both realise they have some hard decisions to make. Loved the narration by Melissa Moran.

We've heard about Sky for a while now, due to her being Pete Lacroux little sister, and it is lovely to hear her story.
Having returned to Provincetown to help her family, Sky is now branching out on her own and opening her own Tattoo Parlour. Things are going according to plan with Blue helping her with the renovations. Now having been home and seen her friends and her older brother, find love and happiness, Sky realises that this is the one thing missing from her life. Unfortunately she has neither control over her heart or time to look. Things change, however, on a night out with friends.
Sawyer Bass is a guitar playing professional boxer. Sawyer is coming up for his last fight and he's hoping that this one will enable him to retire and give him enough winnings to help support his fathers deteriorating health. No matter how much they both feel the instant chemistry, Sky struggles with reconciling the boxing side of Sawyer, with the calm, poetic, caring side of him. As they become closer, they each have battles to overcome if they stand a chance for a happy ever after.
Yet again, a beautifully written story with some strong, emotional storylines. You can really feel for the characters in this book.
