Xavier del Torro, the right-hand man of the Nightkind King, is both terrifying and alluring. While his true nature frightens Tess, she can't ignore the appeal of his innate sense of integrity and self-restraint. Thrown into Xavier's world, Tess must quickly learn to navigate the dangers - both to her life and to her heart. But the biggest threat comes from her own past.

Another great book in an awesome series.
Any additional comments?
The story line really has very little to do with the Wyr or other parts of the Elder Races. The focus is the vampyres specifically on Xavier and who he is and what his role is working for the Nightkind King.
When Tess first meets Xavier she thinks of him as a monster. Tess spends weeks training and learning about the Elder Races. Tess slowly begins to see that Xavier is not a monster and just when things are heating up between them Xavier is betrayed. The romance between Tess and Xavier is not as hot and fast as some of the other books in this series but it works great. I really enjoyed Night's Honor and I am looking forward to the next book from Thea Harrison!

True story with a plot! Not just soft porn.
First of all I love Thea Harrison. I enjoy her books because they are true paranormal romances and not just a lame excuse to write soft porn. This book does not disappoint. I love the characters. It is a fresh take on the elder races. It brings to the forefront characters that were just in the background. I felt this book also delve more into the overall functioning of the imaginary world she has created. She really took time to develop the lead characters so that their romance made sense. There was much more story in this book than sex. For those that love them, don't worry there are plenty of steamy scenes. I love the entire series of these books, and this one adds beautifully to the crazy world of the elder races. Give it a try. The narrator as always is excellent. I love her voices. She brings the characters to life and is never corny!
