Publisher's summary

Rafe and Rowan's story.

Rowan grew up believing she was an outcast, but found her place in the world nonetheless. Or so she believed. Her unusual features attract a very unusual and attractive man when she's in a night club looking for a new sexual diversion. What she doesn't know is that this man knows more about her than she knows herself - he knows what she really is. She falls in love with him in the process of opening her eyes to the world she really belongs in. But his love may not be enough to make her stay.

Publisher's note: Night Fire is a short story set in the world of the Rising Dragons series. The story takes place prior to the events of Breath of Destiny (Rising Dragons, book one), and can be listened to as a standalone. There is a cliffhanger, but the story continues in Rising Dragons has a full-novella resolution for these characters in book six of the series, Breath of Flame and Shadow.

Hotter in Audio!!

I am a fan! Ophelia Bell's story comes to life narrated by the perfect Elizabeth Maxwell. It wasn't difficult at all to picture everything in my mind as I listened. The different accents the Miss Maxwell uses for the characters only adds to the visuals in the imagination. I received this audio book to review and was not disappointed. The story is a great beginning to the series and I am addicted from page 1. Can't wait for the next one!

Short emotional and eargasmic (it's a word now)

This was hot to listen to, Elizabeth has an orgasmic voice. Smooth and velvety I enjoyed listening to her. I want to know more about Rowan and Rafe though, this have left me wanting!

What's coming next? Can't wait to hear...

Would you consider the audio edition of Night Fire to be better than the print version?

It's always interesting to hear someone else's interpretation of the characters. I really enjoyed the narrator's voice for Rafe. It added a richness to him that I couldn't provide just reading the book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I always like Kohl. Though he played a small roll in this book, I have read the others in the series and he strikes me as a man who was able to conquer his demons and help others with theirs too.

Which scene was your favorite?

I loved the scene in the bar where they make a bet on the outcome of a tete-a-tete.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No. Not because the writing wasn't good but because this is just the beginning of the story and it was more about setting up action then moving my emotions.

Any additional comments?

I don't normally care for cliff hangers but having read these books, I was more intrigued with the audio then annoyed by the cliff hanger. I look forward to listening to others.

A hot and quick fantasy intro to the world of dragons.

I’m not normally a fan of third person, but this first book of the Rising Dragon series had my interest piqued! Ava Lucas’ voice was great. Her tone elicited the fantasy of this story and how sexy it was.

I love how Rowan was unaware of her kind, but absorbed it with honesty as well as curiosity. Rafe was something else. Someone with a tinge of sadness for something he can’t have wholly.

Great intro to the books. I’m looking forward to more.

A wonderful way to read books, when it is hard to find time to do what you want. Ophelia Bell is one of my favorite authors. Her dragons are amazing!! I highly recommend this book!!

Great Prequel

This was my first Ophelia Bell's book and this is a prequel of the Rising Dragons Series, and the prequel of Rafe and Rowan's story. This hot novella is a good start to the Series. Rafe and Rowan share an undeniable instant attraction. Unfortunately, the conclusion of their story will only happen in book 6 in the Series, in Breath of Flame and Shadow. The narration is really well done. Elizabeth Maxwell has a soft and sexy voice. She has also done an amazing job with the accents. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that is into supernatural anything.

Loved the steamy scenes and hated how sometimes it was slow.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I loved the book but I did not like her voice for some reason. It was dull.
