Publisher's Summary

It seems the things worth keeping are often the hardest to hold....
I had two things in life that mattered. My mother and my music. Mama was taken from me too soon, and now music is all I have left. It's the thing that's pushed me right out of backwoods Georgia into Los Angeles, where the line between fantasy and reality shimmers and blurs. I'm finally making my way, making my mark. I can't afford to fall for one of music's brightest stars. Not now. Music is all I have left, and I'm holding on tight with both hands. I won't let go, not even for Rhyson Gray.
I had one thing in my life that mattered - music. The only constant in my life, it's taken me to heights most people only dream about, like a gift dropped in my lap at birth. I thought it was enough. I thought it was everything until I met Kai. Now she's all I think about, like a song I can't get out of my head. If I have to chase her, if I have to give up everything - I will. And once she's mine, I won't let go.

5 Keep Me Star’s

This Audio packs a punch, I pretty much listened straight through.. Yes I did all but 2 hrs.
Oh Wen and Kai, I freaking loved this audio. They brought these characters to life I couldn’t get enough. To be honest if I went to eye read this I probably wouldn’t have liked it as much as I liked the audio.

Kai, life really wants to push this girl down but she won’t let it. Her mother’s illness, her having to work so many jobs to make ends meet. She never once gives up on her dream though. She is determined to make it on her own. Even if that means pushing the people away that want to help her.

‘He was a flare of light that illuminated everything around me and showed my just how dull my existence had become.’ - Kai

Rhyson, doesn’t want or need the spotlight but he loves what he does. Having never had to fight for his dream he doesn’t understand that Kai need to do it on her own. He just wants to make it happen for her but what he doesn’t see is that she won’t accept it if its given to her. She needs to feel like she did it on her own that she was good enough.

‘Everything about this girl turns me inside out. Even my subconscious wants to seduce her.’ - Ryson

The struggle watching these to become friend to lovers is pretty awesome to listen to. I enjoyed this book so much that I will be going right in to book 2.

You can’t help but want to know what is going to happen with these two they are meant to be in each other’s lives whether it’s for the good or the bad.

Isn’t that what the best love stories are made of, the struggle to want and need to be with each other but for some reason something tears them apart?

NARRATORS MADE THIS INTO AN AWESOME LISTEN

Kai had talent - she was beautiful, could sing and dance and she was struggling working hard to get her big break... however, before that happened Rhyson Gray happened - he was a musical genius and a Musical Legend. Their chemistry and connection was instant but Kai had plans to make it big on her own terms and she couldn't afford to get sidetracked by the gorgeous and talented Rhyson Gray. However, Rhyson wanted so so much more... he wanted to professionally help her, get to know her better... and to seduce her too. But Kai safely put him in the 'friend' zone where she thought he would stay and could do no harm there... unfortunately though she was wrong on so many levels... because soon he'd become a threat to her career, to her sanity and to her heart.

However, it was Rhyson that would suffer the most because he only wanted the very best for Kai and for their budding relationship as he innocently interfered. He knew he'd done wrong but it was with the very best of intentions for Kai... and yet Kai kept secrets from him... not once, or twice but three times and it wasn't the roller-coaster of third party threats and blackmail that nearly broke them apart - it was Kai's lies despite all her promises, that threatened heartbreak for this couple who had fallen hard for one another.

Rhyson was such a wonderful hero - he was handsome, sexy, deeply loving, loyal, intense, thoughtful, supportive and generous but he had a jealous, insecure and explosive side too which he tried hard to control. Kai wasn't going to take advantage of Rhyson and maybe I can understand her point but all those nights and conversations where she held back the truth from him, even after all their promises, made me dislike her for a while and I didn't think she was worthy of Rhyson. However, the push/pull highs and lows of their relationship made for a very addictive and captivating listen. A dual POV storyline which was expertly told by one of my favorite team of narrators because they each stick to their own genders voices which makes the dialogue run smoothly and sound so right.

Worth a credit? This Review is for books 1 and 2 because I got so caught up in their love story that I just couldn't bring myself to pause in between them long enough to stop and write a Review (sorry). So YES creditworthy on both books.
