Narrator does a wonderful job in speaking in all the various voices. all voices sound believable. Loved all the story lines.
While the 3rd book in this moderately entertaining had potential, OB-GYN Haleigh needed spinal surgery to insert a backbone.
For a 31 year old professional woman, Haleigh's incredible lack of confidence and self-respect was annoying and depressing. I find it difficult to care about a main character who doesn't care about herself.
Haleigh supported her lazy mother who refused to hold a job, while the ingrate insulted Haleigh at every opportunity. Likewise, Haleigh allowed her so-called best friend Abby to tell her that she was not good enough to date Abby's brother Cooper.
Cooper was an engaging character, a truly caring man who loved and admired women, in addition to being cute and sexy. Finally, a strong male hero who doesn't want to dominate and degrade a woman to feel more manly.
If Haleigh had been a less of a doormat, the storyline would have been more enjoyable but it was still interesting, sometimes humorous.
I liked the story to an extent, found it frustrating at times especially when situations were created to cause misunderstanding in a way that could have easily been avoided then the ease with which they were resolved also makes it clear it's all for the drama. I want my drama a bit more complex and not so easily resolved and not so blatantly created - nonetheless makes for an interesting listen
The narrator as always is faultless!
Consistent and pretty good story line. Typical romantic dialogue with two strong main characters and a second story running alongside made for enjoyable entertaining reading . HAE guaranteed
