Publisher's Summary

In Montana Sky Christmas, USA Today best-selling author Debra Holland offers seven short stories set in the small town of Sweetwater Springs, Montana in 1894.
These holiday stories are about various kinds of Christmas love - the romance between a man and a woman, the devotion of a husband to his wife's memory, and the love of a child for her goose. You'll hear about familiar characters from Sweetwater Springs and come to know new ones - many of whom you'll see again in future Montana Sky Series books and novellas.
The stories take place after Stormy Montana Sky, book three in the Montana Sky Series, but this anthology can be listened to as a standalone book.

Montana Sky Christmas

In December 2012 I read the Kindle edition of Montana Sky Christmas and I remember thinking that this is a beautiful collection of short stories. As a fan of the Montana Sky Series, it was a wonderful insight into the lives of secondary characters.

I experienced a terrible loss this year so when I sat down to listen to the audio-book I was in a very different frame of mind. Montana Sky Christmas is still a beautiful collection of short stories that can be read as part of the series or as a stand alone piece.

Although I already knew the stories, I listened to it from a different perspective and was left feeling uplifted. I am adding Montana Sky Christmas to my annual Christmas listening list.

Good stories, terrible narrator

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No, the stories are read too fast and without interest.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Have someone else read!

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Lara Asmundson?

Natalie Ross is not my favorite, but at least she reads like she also is enjoying the story and adds come vocal changes for the different characters.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

It probably is irresistible, but the reading is so bad, it's hard to know.

Any additional comments?

I would like to get the book and read it myself.
