Publisher's summary

Championship bull rider Nick Wilde is the face of Montana Pro Rodeo, with all the acclaim and fans he can handle. But is that enough? Contemplating his next career move, he's come home to his family's cherry orchard - and to his childhood crush, helicopter pilot Harper Stone. But Harper's not quite the sexy, badass girl he once lusted after. Recently widowed, she's broken in two. Wanting to help her move on, Nick finds himself aching for the kind of stability he never had as a child.

True love comes once if you're lucky, and Harper already had her shot. An accident took her husband 18 months ago and left only pain and guilt in his place. Now Nick is waking up her body and heart to everything she might still have to gain...or lose. A second chance is more than she thinks she deserves. But with a man like Nick doing the persuading, maybe it's time to try.

another great story

This was another great story. I liked the theme of these ladies finding themselves. Thought out was a little disheartening that they felt a man was the answer to their coming into realization. Guess that a woman can be complete without giving up the cookies or being small for her man is old fashion. Oh well, I enjoyed the book anywho.

Nice

Although I enjoyed the read I dod not enjoy Harpers back and forth. For her character to have supposwd to be the strong one she syre took awhile to come to grips with reality. Thank Goodness Nick had patience or they really would have had issues. Other than that it was a nice read. Love how the siblings are more involved with eachother and are learning ro get over their mothers failures

Dropped letters

I liked the story. A decent distraction while driving to and from work.
Just like the first book though, the narrator doesn't sound like she says the last letter of many words. It happened ALOT and I always thought I lost connection.

Really enjoyed but....

Great story and narration but could have done without so many numerous and explicit sex scenes

Love grows up

This review is from: Montana Rescue (The Wildes of Birch Bay Book 2)

I always enjoy reading or listening to stories of people who grow into the lives they are meant to live. Harper is stuck in her life after losing the love of her life. She has to learn that it's okay to move on and continue living and being happy. It doesn't lessen what she had with her husband, it gives her another chance at love. Nick and his siblings are dealing with the damage of having a mother with mental issues while they were young. He has always wanted Harper and must work to make her see that she can be happy while he comes to grips with understanding that he is a good person, regardless of his mother's manipulation. I enjoyed to first book in this series and can't wait to hear the rest of the stories. I received a advance copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my unbiased review.free, . That being said, I liked this well enough to also buy the audiobook.

Harper and Nick

Harper is still reeling from her husband's accidental death a year and a half ago. Nick is bull riding at the local rodeo when he sees Harper the woman he had a crush on in high school. They start a friendship that begins to turn into dating. Harper enjoys taking risks, Nick fears she's playing against death to rid herself of the guilt she feels of her ex's death. Harper does not want a relationship she thinks just sex is enough. Nick's feelings for her are deepening and it scares Harper into ending things between them. Both decide to make big changes in their lives. Perhaps the changes can help them see a future together.

Better than the first one

Broken and battered find a second chance at a new life and a new love that isn't all that new for Nick.
