Good stories but one of the narrators didn't care

The stories were interesting and make you want to go to this town and meet the people and see the town. It is a sweet clean romance filled with smiles, laughs, heart break and passion. I really enjoyed them but the first and last narrator is lacking, no emotion, no passion, There are a few places he repeats words, I didn't care for his character voices, it was hard to tell who was talking and what they were feeling. There was no volume change, no background noise. I really thought he took away from the story.

The middle did a good job, no repeating of words, he did give emotion and his character voices were nice. There were no volume changes or background noise. I enjoyed his narration but he still didn't make me believe they were Indians, they sounded just like normal people. I did like the way he delivered it and made me feel the emotions of the characters.

All in all it was a good listen, with enjoyable stories that held my attention. I really felt for the Indians and their live change. I thought the author really delivered true emotions that really touched your heart. There were times I had to chuckle and other times I was sad. I like how the mail order isn't always true mail order or things do not work out for the ones that wrote to each other. Which made me feel more like this was true and not just a made up story.

FINDING LOVE

One can’t imagine traveling that far and your husband to be has died. Another there is no spark, Will they wed anyways. Three different loves awaiting for us to enjoy, and how they will turn out.
The audio by Alan Taylor and Jim Ellis were great bringing these stories to life.

Nicely done

loved it. I actually cried at some moments in the book set. Even though I read the books, it was different on audible.

Book 13

The actor reading book 13 was very very hard to listen to. He was unable to do any accents, read quickly with no real emotion, and, most annoy-ably, would yell ”flash” in a very irritating manor ( I’m guessing to indicate flashbacks). I believe the story would have been much more enjoyable with a different performer.

Wow!

13. Westward Secret
Narrator: Jim Ellis, Alan Taylor
I think this was the most emotion evoking story I have read or listened to in a very long time. It was brilliant!
Gina and Rick meet when she arrives to marry the Bank Manager who died just before she arrived (she didn't know that at the time of her traveling to meet him) and she is directed to the Sheriffs office.
Rick soon arrives on the scene and there is an instant awareness of one another which flourishes and grows into something more significant. Not only do they get on but he and her children do too.
All the characters are really wonderful. We've met most of them before but they all really play their parts so well in this stand-alone story which is not to be missed!

14. Westward Changes
I had thought that 'Westward Secrets' had me swinging from one emotion to another continuously, but this one did too.
This is a brilliant story with wonderful characters and Deena and Eddie are very interesting- the way they got together initially and what transpires is quite entertaining.
The supporting characters, most of whom we have read about in previous books, give great support to the main characters.
This is a story not to be missed!
I loved the deep voice of the narrator Alan Taylor in the audiobook version as he lent his interesting voices to this story.

15. Westward Heartbeat
In this story one can clearly see the two sides of the coin in connection with the racial integration and acceptance or the prejudices as far as the Whites and Native American societies are concerned at that time.
This however, makes the story even more interesting as we see the love that blooms between Zoe and Raven. The majority of the community accepts their relationship and an important family member doesn't.
Thank goodness they manage to sort their lives out and that there is a happily-ever-after.
The book is filled with drama, adventure, romance, good and bad decision which tends to throw curves into the story, brilliant writing and really good narration and I am happy to recommend it.
I listened to a promotional copy of the audiobook Box Set and this is my volntary and unbiased review.

3rd narrator for series, read/listen in order

Delightful. Charming. Story driven. Third narrator for series. Read/listen in order.

The characters of earlier books continue to appear (in s3c9ndary roles) in this sweet, clean, fun Western mail order tale, with occasional historic inaccuracies.
