Well written, believable dialogue, and emotional!

I'm always delighted to read something by Meredith Wild. She sure can sizzle up the pages! Never read Chelle Bliss (yet) but plan to now!

I really appreciated and liked this story except for one thing... and I waited a week after listening to this book to see if this small issue still bugged me. And, it does. Whichever writer decided the part about the dog at the end? The sleeping out under the stars and coyote scare on that same patch of land where the house eventually got built was sweet, but the little white Malamute PUPPY at the end running free and into the house - WTF were you thinking? Coyotes were willing to stalk your woman, dude. A 2 pound puppy is a snack to a Coyote. Letting that little furball run free before surprising her with it as a gift? Stupid and irresponsible!! Aside from that, let's get back to the book and character development. Fir a 5 hour audio treat, it rocked. This book had it all! Hot sex, and plenty of it... and pretty plausible reasons for these two to NOT belong together but as always, faith and love wins. They were both very instrumental in each others' growth and emotional strengthening. I was pretty damn proud of Luke at the end. And, Madison's willingness to compromise. This book was a fast 5-star listen! :)

Stumbling into the woods has never been as much fun

This was a great entry into the Misadventures series. I love Chelle and I was stoked to get to hear Meredith for the first time.

I loved how the story progressed and there was depth to the characters for as short of a story it was.

There was not one thing I did not like about Luke... plus having Brock as the eye candy was a major bonus!!

I enjoyed this quiet a bit.

Prefect

This is such a prefect go to read! No drama mama lol! I love The couple they are prefect for each other. Both narrators are great!

Two wounded souls come together in the most delicious way!

Looking for an escape from the paparazzi and tabloids after a very public divorce, Madison retreats to Avalon Springs. She is hoping to 'find herself' on the mountainside haven. What she finds is a hunky mountain man who helps her ‘find’ her sexy parts in the best way!

Wanting to avoid cities and large crowds has led Luke to live in his secluded cabin in the woods. When he finds Madison naked in his hot springs, he can’t help wanting her. A snow storm traps them inside together and their lust can no longer be denied.

This was fan yourself good!

I think it went on a little too long and maybe could of done without the teary moment in the back half, but overall it worked. It gets a girl excited to listen to more.

If you are like me and like some hot sexy fun times to go with good character driven stories, then this is a listen for you!

This is my first read-listen by Meredith Wild and Chelle Bliss. Since this is a joint effort, I will have to rate them both the same, which is sexy hot! I loved the characters plus all the dirty talk and action! I will be looking into more from these ladies for sure.


♥ Narrator(s) ♥

Jennifer Mack and Lance Greenfield alternate on this title by chapter point of view. They both did an excellent job with both story and character. I did prefer Lance’s voice when it came to Luke. Jennifer did a good job, which would of been great if she was solo on this. Unfortunately for her, Lance’s sexy gruff was just so much sexier. In an ideal world, when there are more than one narrator, the ‘voice’ of any character would be done by the same person regardless of point of view.

it's a good book, but the ending was very abrupt and sudden. I'm looking forward to more of the Misadventure series.

Definitely a different story but enjoyable!

Bits of drama and misunderstandings... Check!
Lots of detailed sex... Check!

This is definitely a different story than most in this genre. The H is reclusive with War related issues living his life as a mountain man. The h is reluctantly at a retreat after a bitter divorce from her cheating husband. There meeting is unusual and the relationship builds over time. Solid first book of the series!

Love it! I've listened to it 3 times.

They need to make it into a movie! Just make sure Brock O'Hurn is Luke!

Eh....

There was so much hype for this book I was giddy to find it available on Audio. The story is fine, but lacking. Lots of steamy scenes but the story could have been so much better.
