Life changes.

What did you love best about Midnight Moonrising?

The story was fast paced, characters unforgetable.

Would you recommend Midnight Moonrising to your friends? Why or why not?

I would only if they knew this was NOT a stand alone. I don't mnd a continuing series ONLY if it is advertised as such so I can determine my commitment.

Which scene was your favorite?

The epilogue.

Any additional comments?

writing was good, story good, narration good. My only complaint was the cliffhanger.

Loved it!!!

Love this Book! It has everything, werewolf's, vampires, witches and even Lion Shifters. Love the story from start to finish and hated when I couldn't listen. The story is well written with characters I loved and twist and turns I didn't see coming. I think I am half in love Phoenix myself. Pyper Down did an excellent job bring the story and characters to life

Fantastic story

What did you love best about Midnight Moonrising?

I Couldn't wait to get stuck into this book and I wasn't disappointed.
Mena, after being bitten by her husband then killing him, is now a newly turned werewolf and also the Alpha, her heart wants the high vampire Phoenix but her wolf wants the human homicide detective Alex who knows nothing about supernaturals! Can she really unite vampires and wolves whilst learning how to be an alpha?
As though that isn't enough, there's betrayal within her pack and her wolf is hiding a secret from her that could result in death and destruction for everyone, Mena has till the next full moon to find a way to take back control of her wolf or forfeit not only her life but also those joined to her thanks to the Nexus!
There's so much happening in this book with Mena juggling her new life, her conniving wolf and two men. I love Mena's character and couldn't help but feel sympathy for her, Alex and Phoenix, just which of them will she choose ? Can she really have either of them ? The twists and turns and unexpected surprises make this a very addictive read and I for one couldn't get enough.

5 magical Stars

Midnight moon rising is one of the best paranormal books I have ever read. Packed full of wolves, vampires, witches, shifters, and a crazy web of a story I was hooked from the beginning.

Mena, newly found pack leader is learning to become not only a Wolfe, but an alpha Wolfe and she has some very interestingly funny conversations within her head that had me laughing out loud.

Phoenix, Alex, Rowel, and Ace help to set the pages on fire! These steamy men among with others bring some heat and leave you wanting more.

A love triangle develops, murders happen, and you are taken on a wild ride!

I don't want to give too much away, but I will tell you this audiobook is packed full of amazingly developed characters, details that paint vivid pictures, and a storyline that you can't help but get sucked into. Just when you think you have the story figured it out, you are completely thrown for a loop, and are taken in a completely different direction.

K.S Haigwood & Anne Conley created a story unlike any other. I highly recommend you give Midnight Moonrising a listen!

Pyper Down is a great narrator. Her voice is very pleasant to listen to and it is clear that she connects to each character. She truly helped the characters come to life.

Definitely a five star story! I'm off to listen to the next in the series Andromeda's Reign!

I couldn’t put it down!!! Amazing!!

This is my first book with either of these authors!!
I absolutely loved it. I loved the different version of the paranormal world than what I have read in the past. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
I will definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal and/or shifter books.

Hard to get into

I gave it 20
Chapters and still couldn’t get into the book. I was bored and never quite understood why she became a werewolf and why it was all such a big thing.

3.5 IT'S AN ACTION PACKED PN MIX UP..... BUT BE WARNED

I am sooooo mad and confused right now I think it's going to cloud my judgement of this very different, very addictive and yet very frustrating paranormal romance...... because there's no happy ending in sight - just one big fat cliffhanger or 'to be continued' ending and there isn't even a sniff of the next book to wag my tail at - believe me coz I've checked everywhere!! I hate starting books with cliffhangers because, by the time the next book is released, I've forgotten a lot of the storyline and I'm sure this will be the case as this series continues. Okay, rant over... on to the review.

In the Prequel Mena finds out her husband's been cheating so she runs away.... but runs into far greater problems.... Werewolves, Witches and Vampires and she accidentally becomes the Alpha of the Pack. But before she can even rub noses with another Werewolf she's taken to safety - which is at the home of Phoenix the Master Vampire King of Montgomery who's gorgeous, charismatic, sexy and uninterested...... until he's not. The chemistry and attraction was instant and changed an aloof nine century's old Vampire King into a kind, considerate, thoughtful and loving Boyfriend.

Mena's Wolf inside her becomes a really big bitch of a problem because she wants Alex a Human Cop and, as each day passes, she's getting stronger and stronger, gets Alex and soon will completely take over Mena's body then her intentions are War against all. She has to be stopped but how? Mena battles her inner Wolf constantly.... for domination, to be heard and to be with Phoenix. Then things go from bad to worse because there's a rogue fraction of her Pack out to get revenge by destroying her and causing mayhem, Witches get involved, there's a secret that will only have one devastating outcome and there's a race against the moon to find the solution. The solution is Ace a free spirited Alpha Lion Shifter from the Las Vegas but he soon becomes a wedge between Mena and Phoenix.... a wedge that they're both going to have to accept in their lives..... but will love be enough when distance comes between them?

If this listen had ended on a happy note, or if the next book was available, then I would have been happier but instead it's left me pulling my hair out with frustration and confusion. Because I should have loved this listen.... but I somehow didn't. There was non-stop drama, action, suspense and tension, not a lot of sex and too many men fell in love with Mena who overnight went from being a heartbroken confused wife to a badass Lara Croft and then back to a confused mess again. I didn't like when Mena blamed Alex for the situation he unwittingly walked into. It did have a nice romance but it was filled with problems.... problems that caused nothing but heartache for everyone. There's lots of interesting secondary characters, there were many POV's and I usually love Pyper's narration but the male character's voices could've been stronger.

Worth a credit? Well that's a question I've been swaying between "I wish I never started this" to "Well that was an action-packed listen"..... it's different, it's got humor, it's unpredictable, it's enjoyable but it's got a scream-worthy ending..... you've been warned. It didn't leave me with that satisfied feeling, at no point did I feel happy for any of the characters - nobody got what they wanted and sorry for once I truly can't decide on the credit so I'll leave it up to you.
