I listened to Mermaid Inc. in between my longer audios, and this lighthearted story was the perfect length to listened to in one sitting.
Miranda the mermaid is on a mission to save whales. First, she has to drink a potion that will change her fins to legs. Second, she has to infiltrate Justin's home and pretend to be his housekeeper, while his regular housekeeper is away. Third, she has to get information on one of Justin's clients who's in the business of whaling to put a stop to it. It sounded easy enough to Miranda, but she soon learns housekeeping isn't her forte, or cooking, or doing laundry. Not to mention, her attraction to Justin. Good thing she has Goldie the talking bird to help her out, and guide her.
Justin's temporary housekeeper isn't anything he expected, in fact she's a disaster when it comes to doing chores, but she brightens his day. When she offers to help him with his newest client because of her in-depth knowledge as an oceanographer, he agrees. He doesn't know her real agenda, but when he things he's lost Miranda he will do whatever it takes to get her back.
Carly Robins did a fabulous job with the narration. I loved Goldie's character!
Overall, for a short, clean story, it was well written. I won a copy of this audiobook from the author.

What did you love best about Mermaid Inc.: A Romantic Comedy?
I enjoyed Ms. Robins' performance of Goldie. Great! I listened to most of this audiobook with earbuds. Several areas of the audio I could hear mouth/jaw clicks, but it didn't distract from the overall listening experience.
Any additional comments?
Ms. Mickelson has a wonderful grasp of the Romantic Comedy genre. This is not the first Mickelson book that I've had the pleasure to listen to and it won't be the last. Family friendly and a fresh listening experience.

Think a little mermaid plus washing machines, environmental consciousness, PR agencies, a whole lot of humour, a bit of magic. and, viola! You have this book. This is a clean, short story with a definite fairy tale factor and an assured HEA. Light and quirky, it was fun to listen to and demanded very little from it's listeners.
