Sadism at its finest
I would change the way Annora felt about her parents. She felt that her father hanged the moon and her mother was a demon that should be killed. I understand that she was a daddy's girl but when she found out what her father did to her mother she still was on her father's side. Her father was a cad and she still hated her mother.
I was gifted this audiobook for an honest review.
This story was a bit weird for me. I personally did not understand why Mac Bhriain was such a manwhore. I did not understand why Annora hated her mom so much. She shut down after two experiences that shaped her. She blamed her mom for everything that seemed to go wrong in her life. I think that Annora really like the fact that her mom treated her so badly. She felt like the only one that cared for her was her father and that everyone around her had it out for her. For me Annora was emotionally draining. I wanted to hit her and say 'Wake up!!! The world does not revolve around you and sometimes life sucks!'.
Over all this story was different and I liked that. Some of the characters I prefered over the others like David. I loved his character and I loved the hotel. Even though this book was different for me this story was a good one. It was funny at times and there was a good amount of sadism (which I could deal without).

Fantastic and dark
I loved the story and the characters. Unique and interesting storyline as well. There's also a good deal of dark humor which is right up my alley.
The interactions between Annora and Mac Bhriain.
No, but I would again in a heartbeat.
Yes. I was doubled over laughing at some parts and then others were making me cry.
Loved this audio. I highly recommend giving this one a listen.
